And I don't even have a good excuse for this. Just riding off the edge like a dumb ass.
Out in WV somewhere.... Hey where did my bike go!
tell me about it. got a pair of cruches (how do you spell that?) here also. after parking the 800GS in a ditch.
After a month in Morocco I went to visit my friend in Croatia - Krk Island and we had some muddy off road
GSA`s are know for taking naps
I've had my WR250R about a month and I had my first get-off today while exploring a trail along some rail road tracks. As the saying goes, everything was going along just fine until I ran out of talent. I hit a spot along a slope and one of my tires wandered off the trail or the gravel broke loose. The bike toppled downhill and me with on it. Luckily (and I mean that sarcastically), I didn't fall far because my right leg was pinned between the bike and a log.
After extracting myself and taking pictures, I got the bike upright. It was a struggle since I had to start from below horizontal and I'm glad I didn't have a bigger bike. After getting it up, I walked it back up to the trail while feathering the clutch and then rode out. Nothing is broke, but there's a little swelling on the left side of my shin (still riding in jeans since I can't afford gear).
Since I was alone, I took my own pics:
Glad that's finally out of the way.
Damn, that looks ugly. You jump the tracks and the tree get in the way?
LOL, no. I'm a noob. Just riding along parallel to the tracks when I lost forward momentum next to the woodpile.
When in doubt, gas it out.
On a muddy skidder road, near dark with street tires=dropped bike
Great pic! And with Neuschwanstein, too
I didn't reply before because I wasn't able to spell Neuschwanstein
Brand new F800GS at the time, and it was a demobike from the BMW dealership that I took out offroading!
Somewhere I've got an identical pic in exactly the same location from earlier this year - except my bike is not taking a nap
