Who's riding the Skagit clubs' event this
Looks like a fun one, Marty. I've got plans to head east this weekend, but will head to Darrington if my trip gets cancelled.
heading over Saturday afternoon to camp out for the evening and ride sunday... looking forward to it. I dont have a rollchart though.. never used one, is it mandatory ? I have a pretty fancy gps, or could follow someone?
marty.. going to send you a PM with my cell.. give me a ring if you have time.. curious about the camping situation over there.. figured I'd haul my bike over Saturday for some car camping and be ready to roll sunday AM, :)..
I got a roll chart for you if you need one Mark
how has done this poker run which bike to use wee strom or husky te510?
cya in the AM..
If it is like last year, it's doable on a Wee but prolly much more fun on a TE. I did it on a TE250 last year.
There are some spots that will be tough on a Strom. I ride a 990 adv and have lots of dirt experience and have no problems on the course. You won't need a chart holder, we decided to ride as a group (or groups). Camping is good at a campground just west of the bluegrass grounds (Squire Creek). The first loop is around 90 miles and you will need to run that far before gas is available. I hope to see you there.
thanxs for the info I will put on the big tank change the gearing and be there on sunday
New to groups and club events. Trying to slowly crawl out from under this rock..LOL
Sounds like fun but all greek to me!
up early and itching to go..
I plan on camping at said Squire Creek campground, probably get up there really early today and ride around a bit.
i'll be car camping and eating at a local restaurant in Darrington if anyone ones to join me.
I'll be in a Blue Hummer H2 towing the x-challenge..
#26 at squire creek campground, if anyone's up this way come on by
great day for a ride..
Thanks to Marty and The Skagit Motorcycle club for putting on the ride.
I got up there early Saturday to do some camping and exploring on my own. I had a great time exploring some of the forest road spurs off of the Mt Loop Hwy.
Ran into this... could only be in Darrington .
Fantastic views today, and perfect riding weather.. wasnt too overly hot.. albeit there was a little dust..
very cool. mountain of sand..
Excellent ride Mark!
I did it last year with Iponduro, Wetside Rider and a couple other riders.
Where the hell is my f*&#ing sock?
Nice ride, you had some good weather too. Sorry I missed you on Friday, Mark.
Thanks for the pics, Mark. Did you Photoshop this one?
nope, but when i resized it, it looks like it skewed the pic a bit.. ever been there? Right off 18 but you have to trek through the woods a bit. Really cool spot..
I've been there a few times with the Cap'n, Tom and Oldx. I was going to crawl to the end of the log in this picture last time I was there, then aborted mission when I noticed how rotten it was.
