I am going to do a HID install on my 640 ADV and wondered if any one had done both lights. Also has any one who has done both lights know if the both lights on mod will have enough power to fire up the second globe with the first one running. I know the lights are 35 watts but is there enough juice in the charging system to get the second light to fire-oh year will the wiring system cope with the 25000 volts when the things initially kick in especially if both lights kick in together?

I know the HID are good lights and would both running together be excessive?

Yeah well the criters in OZ are all year round and if its summer it is just like death valley for months. So we ride early morning or night to beat the heat if we are going any where and good lights make the trip much less stressfull. Well at least you seee what you are about to hit rather than a total surprise.

I was install single Baja Design HID 8' lamp to my Suzuki DRZ400E 2004.
The battery output is 6Ah this is too little... If you put your HID on, my tripmaster is very dim....
HID start is 15A so standart protection (fuse) 10A is not enough.
First change youre fuse and check your battery amperage.

Flanny did it to his. We had both our bikes together at night one time and the difference was unbelievable. Did a quick search but couldn't find the thread. PM him and ask him for the details.

On those trailtech HID's, where's the ballast? Doesn't look like there'd be enough room in the housing.

May be an issue at idle, but it should light off fine once you bring the revs up, if not just add a capacitor. The high voltage is only running from the ballast to the lamp, and that is through the wiring that comes with the new HID lamps, not the stock wiring. In normal HID's put less demand on your stock wires, though I don't know what they draw when you first turn them on. As long as you light them off one at a time, it should work fine.
