Ok, it's time for some riding. Snow sucks.
    April 20th, Zanesville, Ohio.
    Here is the info:
    www.ztr.cc
We have a new start area for this ride, and some new stuff to ride. Should be a lot of fun. If you have a 2 stroke "plated" enduro bike, bring it and ride the "enduro sections" Guaranteed to be fun.
Be sure and bring a full gas can, we will have a truck running gas. (no gas stations after around the 20 mile mark)

Cool poster, but could you make the directions to the start point just a little bigger? Which exit is it? I know my eyes are getting as old as the rest of me, but if this is the first test of whether I'm too damned old, I flunk!:gerg

[edit] OK - after staring and squinting, I think I have figured it out. Start is somewhere out here? N40.03260 W81.82128 [/edit]

We passed through there last year. We'll be starting there this year. I have some new trails, and some favorites from last year. After the first 10 miles or so, we'll leave there and go to other areas.

I'll probably have to punt on the GPS files this year as we'll be on a lot of private property this time, and I really can't afford to have anyone poach any of these trails after the event. If that happens by even ONE rider, I'll lose them for the next year. Unfortunately this has become a problem. For some reason some people think it's OK to buzz through trail sections long after an event thinking that "no one will notice". How wrong they are.

We'll have a good time this year. There are some good sections and good road breaks between them.

Sorry to hear that, but I wonder if it's really people from the event or locals taking advantage of the sudden traffic? Either way I understand and look forward to the event. Hopefully we'll get some good weather for it.:ricky

How much is an AMA membership, and do we have to sign up for one; and if so, can we sign up that morning?

If we are not doing GPS navigation are we riding as a big group, or ? I see that a roll chart is provided, having no experience with those things wouldn't they also be usable after the fact as a "renegade" trail map like GPS?

I was watching the other thread about this ride and didn't see this one til now.

    Looking forward to it.

AMA is $39 (good for a year) We have to do this for insurance reasons only.
It'll be helpful to have if you decide to do any other DS events this year. ( and there are a LOT of them in Ohio this year :clap )

The roll chart will have turn numbers and turn milage. That will be useless after the event as the milage starts in a gated area. It's easy to follow. You'll have no problems. (unless you do the 1st Enduro section...:evil :evil )

Everyone will be starting at the same time, but you can ride in any kind of group that you want.

I have one of these cheap plastic enduro rollcharts. It's old, it's dirty, it's not waterproof. Want it?

I went out today on foot with the chainsaw, machete, and arrows for 7 hours and cut some new singbletrack trail and cleaned up some lightly used singletrack. Those of you that can make it will have a fun time!
