So along that same line:

Is "Camping for two" considered two tents or one tent, Brokeback style? That's what I'd call "buddy up" :eek1

Camping and rooms are a TOTAL price for two (not per each).

Tenting - can be multiple tents per site.

(Of course, if you want to be warm and cozy with a buddy....who am I to judge?)

    Desert Daze T-shirts and Stickers

    are now available for pre-order!

    :clap

All orders must be placed by February 15th in order for them to be processed and delivered at the event.

There will be NO SHIRTS available for purchase AT the event. HOWEVER, if there is enough interest, there will be a second printing done after the event (add an extra $6 to cover postage and allow 30 days for processing and shipping).

Of course it's way easier to just go ahead and PRE-ORDER your shirt 'cause you're gonna want one!
Just a quick bump while I'm sitting in the Bangkok airport waiting for a flight to Phnom Penh.

Definitely feel free to share with other forums.

3 of us from NM would be interested in this ride if we could get an invite from some sort of ride leader:clap. We would like someone who knows the territory. Don't trust GPS tracks.....Sorry. Been screwed on those before:eek1. We will ride a good pace and are not Newbs or Dorks.

Maybe someone will step in officially but usually every morning there's a few different groups all knowing where they are going that head out, ranging in difficulty and length of ride. Just wake up early and tag on to the group you fit in with the most and you should have a blast without getting lost:1drink

Thanks DRZZT.... I already got PMed by a local AZ guy. Likely we will join in on the fun. Just numbers and logistics to be decided before signing up:clap.

Hey, consider this an 'official' invite.

Basically all rides are loosely organized. There is a big 'master' map posted that folks can refer to regarding areas they'd like to explore and, generally, folks tend to group up based on that. There are enough 'locals' in attendance with enough different riding styles that you'll hook up with somebody.

There are also excellent, very detailed maps available of SW Arizona from Benchmark Maps (I always bring a handful of them to the event and folks can rent one - or keep it if they like).

So, come on over. No worries on getting lost and definitely great riding!

(BTW, I'm still in Cambodia and posting this from Battambang using my cell phone - modern technology is incredible and the world has become incredibly small.)

Thanks ravenranger. Looks like we have a guide in XSkydiver who knows the territory well. He will navigate and we will enjoy the ride:clap....

Just a reminder to get your shirts ordered because they are pre-order only.

Meanwhile if you ever find yourself in Chiang Mai, Thailand, do the Mae Hong Son loop ride -1865 curves! Currently posting from Mae Sarieang, Thailand :D

It would be nice for the working guys to have some nice weekend weather for this event. We will be there. If you see some MI plates out there don't run over us or our NM friends:D.

I'm in this year again for the third time. I'll try to make it by Thursday, but one KLR is in pieces so it might be Friday. I'm thinking of bringing the KTM 525 too which means if I can load them in the truck I'll need to park that while I camp. Any problems with that Raven?

Do you think that if I bring snow shoes and chains it won't snow this year?!:lol3
