Multistrada is not a dirt bike, get over it. If someone is crazy enough to take it to single track trail, it doesn't mean anything. It rips on paved roads and does great on unpaved ones, no more than that. Why would someone want to trash 20K plastic bike off road when you can do it on proper dirt bike?

By the way stock Multi 1200 seat is among the most comfortable seats I have ever tried, once you get used to seating position it will grow on you. I can ride all day long without a hint of assache :)

I believe it's called the enduro seat. I don't know what was on your test bike but check to see if it was the low seat which is awful (it no better than a plank). The stock seat on mine I find pretty comfortable, but will probably get the enduro at some point.

+1. That's exactly why I bought it, TBH. And to feel 'more' comfortable going down dirt/gravel/etc roads. But mainly -- big fast upright streetbike.

Reminds me of the guy I saw on Cinnamon Pass last summer on a brand new Pikes Peak. Well, he wasn't on it, he was standing beside it on one of the switchbacks, beautiful bike lying on its side with significant plastic and control damage. I good rider would have make that pass no problem but what a shame to see the damage on the new bike. Guy was a total noob, and I got him turned around.

Been lazy and haven't yet edited the video but I took mine over Engineer Pass the second weekend of August...on nearly shot stock tires no less. That ride is gonna be a lot more fun when I can track down those elusive TKC80s.

Speaking of these elusive tkc80. - what I really need to know is if the front will fit on a 1200 without raising the fender and monkeying with the brake lines

Other than that, I'm an idiot, so I'll try it

Marc - Paul out at NPR in Athens has Multis and the Comfort seats. Just got one from him yesterday although not sure it'll work long term for me. Don't like it being shorter so going to try the Enduro one next.

Anyone with a tall torso (6'4 and 34'' inseam) try the 14'' cee bailey screen yet? I have my puig shorty which is great until you hit interstate speed then it's fairly loud/buffety.

I've read a few posts at the other sites raving about the taller Cee Baily's ( 22 and 24 inch)
I have the VStream sport and the tall touring and they both work good enough for me.

Those of you that also frequent ducati.ms already know, but Sargent has released a seat for the MS1200. Mine will be delivered tomorrow and I'll post pictures over at the other site. I ordered it more out of curiosity than anything as I've been satisfied with the stock seat. They're offering a unique option, a touring/storage/loading platform replacement for the rear seat.

Well, now that the European show season is fast approaching isn't it time we had some rumors on the next Multistrada :evil

    848 Version for 2013?

okay, maybe that's the new Hyper :dunno

I'm thinking the next MTS 1200 (2014/15) is more refinement of the Multi/Hyper platform (the Hypermotard will be discontinued). Personally I'd like a little more range, better breeze management (which means a wider screen), refinement in the fueling and the color display from the Panigale.

Other than that it's light enough, handles well enough and has performance enough to keep me very happy.

p.s. Shouldn't this be in Road Warriors :patch

IMHO that is definately the new Hyper (848?) And as I have just put the cash down for a new Mutly I hope it doesnt change for a couple of years.
