i am in 110 against the trees at the South End near the open gravel like 2014

bring the rain gear and large gas tanks:deal

OBVIOUSLY, BUT IT HAS TO BE SAID...........

ONLY RIDE LEGAL TRAILS AND ROADS IN DEATH VALLEY AND NEVER EVER RIDE ON CLOSED TRAILS OR "OFF ROAD".
Disclaimer: This is not an "Official" list of riders, participants, or people.
This is a list of names of "people" who are apparently going to be at some place
at nearly the same time as some other "people". Some of these "people" may
ride motorcycles, however it's not known if that is a fact or rumor. Very few,
if any, of these "people" actually know each other and, in fact, may not even like
each other. As far as I know there is no event planned in any National Park
where any of these "people" may, or may not, be destined. Remember ride or
don't at your own risk, your mileage may vary, professional rider on a closed
course, Member FDIC. Riding motorcycles can cause considerable risk to your
health and safety, you could even be killed or maimed. Just sayin.... If you end
up in a National Park and a ranger asks you what group you are with, please
know the correct answer or pretend to be mute, or deaf.

I did not write the above disclaimer I have no affiliation with any group or
non-group, I don't know how this disclaimer ended up on this post and will
delete it as soon as I see it.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the gathering is on and around the dates of.....
Thursday January 28 - Sunday January 31 (some of us stay until Monday morning)

the date is a suggestion, if you wanna make it a week long trip (some have) then do it.

and there is NO organized rides. you meet up with like minded ADV'rs and ride. nobodies holding your hand. there are some veterans of riding Death Valley, find them if you are unfamiliar and ride with them.

as for rides being NOOB or not.... the whole park is pretty much drivable by a mid 80's FORD Mustang.:lol3

there are some routes that are not NOOB friendly ie; Goler Wash/Megel Pass, Echo Cyn. South Pass going up, Steele Pass in either direction, Lippencott is easy going down but harder riding up.
both of these routes have "steps" or walls you need to pop the front up to make it over. but with the help from others, you can do it.

all the other routes.... Titus Canyon, Chloride Cliffs, Ubehebe Crater, Crankshaft Junction, Teakettle Junction, Hunter Mountain are noob friendly.

there are also A LOT of pavement. so you can see the park without doing much off roading. some ADV'rs have brought street bikes and rode pavement all day.

also, Death Valley weather can change quickly and the road conditions (dirt and pavement) can change quickly. respect all closures.

google map or google earth the park and see what's there.

    also, go on GPSxchange.com
    http://www.gpsxchange.com/
and half way down the page is "countdown" (he is a ADV rider/AMA rider) that has FREE GPS tracks.
click on his tracks and the Death Valley tracks and load your GPS before this ride and go for a stroll around the park.
you will need to sign up to gpsxchange but it's FREE!

also, i shouldn't have to stress this, but BRING YOUR OWN TOOLS AND TUBES AND TIRE PUMP AND WATER.

your buddies or ppl you are riding with should NOT have to change your tire or give you a tube or give you tools when you should have your own.

POST UP your campspot and days you are staying

I WILL UPDATE THIS POST AND POST #2 with riders and camp spots.

AGAIN, you book your own camp site. you bring your own food. 1224R is going to make dinner on Saturday night like 2014.:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl:dukegirl 10 bucks for dinner.

also, i'm not the organizer of anything whether it be riding street legal motorcycles in or around Death Valley National Park or you finding a campsite or cooking food to eat. i am just suggesting the dates and suggesting the campsites.

Well it is a bit of a chance but I reserved site 101 for all four days. With my work schedule it's a bit of a crap shoot but I really want to go. So far 2015 has been 0 for 5 in regards to getting to go when I had plans. Here's hoping that 2016 will be better.
Till then, I can at least watch the thread knowing that I am a part of it.

Man I really want to go! And I might, but if I can it will most likely be sans bike and just cruise around in the Jeep with the boy as I can't leave mom at home with a newborn and a psycho 3 year old at the same time.

I just want to explore all the carnage from the 1000 year storm..

You bringing the JK? I don't have 37s, but I don't think there is anything mine can't do in the area- would be cool to have another one to run around with.

Right on. Pick a run and I'll hit it with you. All of this of course, assuming I'll be able to go... Maybe the stars will align and the boss can come as well and maybe I can get a day to ride too...
