The drone was me climbing up the rocky mountain .... LOL!
I stopped in and checked on Ron today. He is doing well and is in good spirits despite the broken hip. Lots of hot nurses in that hospital....
I had a little high speed crash at the far south end of Westside Road that sent me to the ER and damaged the Triumph a little:
There was a guy a in a Tacoma that helped me picknthe bike up, strap up my useless left arm, and gave me a ride back to Furnace Creek. Between CHP and the tow, the snowstorm, and an upset GF, I made it to the ER about 3am. Broken collarbone is all the damage to me.
Holy shit Tim.... Glad you are ok....
who is babysitting your bike??
Mark Nelson from Santa Barbara who was there with a trailer.
shit man, you are a trooper.
... I had texted Tim when I arrived home about Ron's hospital info since he planned on visiting him once he got home in Las Vegas. he got back to me saying he had a get off on West Side Road. I never then expected him to still visit Ron after breaking his collarbone.
... people... Tim is a good man.
also, 5 years ago today I had surgery in Las Vegas from a perforation from a Crohns Disease flare up while at DVDAZE and Tim was the first friend there to visit me.
heal up quickly you two, @beemerron and @tbarstow
My complements to the chef! I think that chili kept me going on the long wet windy ride home Sunday.
Glad to see everyone is doing ok. For as many people show up for the DV event you guys do ok with just a few accidents.
Yikes and yikes at damage reports. Hope both heal up ok.
Didn't get to hang out much this year - hope to see ya'll again soon.
We hit tehachipi @ 1100ish pouring rain - stopped at Denny's ate and stepped outside to get back on the bike juuuust as it started snowing.
Yep some fog but not bad at all... Found a really killer gas station in McFarland by accident, I forgot to fill up in tehachipi, it had a laundramat attached to it so we warmed up a bit and tossed our outer gear in a drier. Soon after McFarland the rain quit and we had a fairly dry if a bit cold ride the rest of the way home.
This is a bit uncomfortable, but still not a broken hip:
Tim. You obviously misunderstand what it means to visit someone in the hospital.
Hope you heal up fast, man.
Glad it wasn't any worse
seriously...Tim you don't have to get hurt to visit someone.....
Had a great time at DVD 16. Just barely made it over Greenhorn Summit going home. Half a foot of snow and no chains!
Thank you again Jimmy for the fine meal.
Hey Tim, thats no way to treat a new bike.
Here's a few shots.
Holy crap, lots of bad guys. Glad to hear everyone had fun minus 1 hip and 1 collarbone.
Get well soon gents.
Hopefully see most of you at Noobs.
Dang Tim ! Wondered what happened to ya.....
Heel fast bro!!!
The medical professionals think it's a good idea if I just stay right here for another week or so to let the bone heal some since it was broken into numerous pieces. Once the bone has set some I'll fly back to Portland
The question becomes WHY pack a lawnmower 100 miles into a mine in Death Valley ?
