got it now, thanks
Great pictures of people having fun on great roads with great bikes. I was in the neighborhood of 191 last month but was involved in Grand Canyon and Cliff Dwellings and plum forgot about the Devil's Highway. Maybe next time. Great roads out there.
Great pics Jason! I'm glad you got them on here.
Nice ride and great pictures.
Great pix. I can't wait to get back there next April . A great set of roads.
My wife & I were on a ride here in California and stopped on top of Sherman Pass. Several riders park next to us with Arizona plates & I try to talk to the riders but they don't say anything. A small, very polite lady walks over to me & informs me they are a group of riders with MCTours / AZride.com from Scottsdale & she is their guide & the riders are from Hungary. Don't speak english.
After some small chat she mentions hwy 666 in eastern Az & tells me its really a fun ride & that I should check it out.
Well... I hope to get there soon.... I appreciate this ride report... confirms my info...
Here's a map of our route.
We took 191 North from Clifton and on 260 through McNary to 60 South through Salt River Canyon. 180 South in New Mexico is a great ride and back to 191 on 78 is a great loop. You'll have a lot of fun. Send us a PM when you're over here and we'll be more than happy to join you or point out some minor detours that you'll enjoy.
Looks like a lot of fun... great report!
Cool ride. I am going to be out there this Nov and plan on riding that area.
Tell Cathy I said hello.......tell her Eric from CMRA and TORO in TX.
Thx for the map.
Remember me? I'm the guy on the VFR that won the tires last year at the 666 event. Good to see you guys out there ripping it up again. I would've made this ride if it weren't for the fact I was out at RMAR in CO the same weekend.
Lowdown- maybe catch you on the next one.
Check the weather before you head North in November. Alpine is around 9000 ft and can be cold and snowing.
Cathy and I were at RMAR a couple of weeks ago too. Must not have crossed paths. Here's some pics we took.
Well of course! I knew I recognized Cathy from somewhere but just couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe if she would've been on the R6 I would've remembered at camp. We were at the Clara cabin making all the ruckus with Grub. I think you guys even came by and Cathy was commenting on the "Ninja Warrior" dude's need for a different ride, who was sitting with us. Damn, now I feel like a fool.
Hey Eric, when y'all come out stay with us, you can launch from here. You can ride our bikes too if you don't want to drag yours out. I finally let go (sadly) of my 125 and now I have a real woods bike (even if it is orange).
If you want company in Nov. throw out some dates and maybe we can join you.
Too funny, next time we come to your porch, throw a few beers our way and say howdy! :)
