I got a broken camshaft and they're not very easy to find for the early RFVC motors. They are not interchangeable from the later models (88+) so it makes this camshaft a rare piece. I see web has some performance grinds, but that's all I can find. Are the web products a good cam and I should look no further? Or is their something else I could try?:type

WebCam or MegaCam welded/reground is a good option......you need a core to send them that`s not broken probably.........but they work/wear excellent:clap

You don't happen to have 2 of those cams do you?

I started taking apart the engine today and it does not look good. It looks like one of the rockers (I think) came apart and scored the cam. Cylinder looks ok, I think.

I will take some pics this evening.

It may be a bit more expensive but if you change cam covers and some rockers you can use the later model cam,I did it on an XBR500 or GB500 to you guys, as you know it is the same engine as the early singles without the auto decomp, I wanted a manual decomp as i made it into a 600 with higher comp for a race engine and I had a later model cover and cam.
