I'm contemplating a new steed (currently on '08 990 ADV) and of course the 1190 is leading the pack. I like to do my own maintenance to the extent possible, so I am a bit leery of the "upgraded" computer system and other general unknowns of the bike.

The 990 is pretty well sorted out and is overall easy enough to work on once you get through the body work.

Any experience out there for those that have started wrenching on the 1190?

I'd like a service manual when theyre available too.
