    Hey guys,

My father, brother (blaine.hale on ADV) and I are doing a 12 day journey up the East Coast and are looking for good spots to see, routes etc.

    Sights we plan to see:
    Niagara Falls
    Kitty Hawk
    Barrier Islands, North Carolina
    Chesapeake Bay Bridge
    New York City
    Halifax, Nova Scotia

We plan on hugging the east coast on the way up, and possibly coming back down through the Appalachians or hitting some Canadian cities - not sure yet.

    Route so far:

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Kyle

Well if you are going to Nova Scotia, try and hit Cape Breton tor the Trail, or the south shore of the province. If you have the time there's lots to see and do in N.S.Most people I meet don't have the time to do what they want when they get here and end up coming back again and again.Fundy Shore & Annapolis Valley is very nice,Northumberland Shore great ride same with Eastern Shore. There's more to Nova Scotia then Halifax if you have the time.

Make reservations for the NC ferry to the outer banks and check their schedule, demand frequently exceeds supply of spaces. Kings Barbeque near where you get off 95 and onto 70 is a fun place to eat NC style barbeque, they are on 70. Morehead City and Beaufort waterfronts are nice if you have the time to sightsee. Wild horses on the islands and dolphins frequently in the chanel.

On the way home enjoy riding in West Virginia, fantastic state for motorcycles. Great state parks (with hotels!) - almost as good as Georgia's. Ski resorts frequently have decent deals on rooms during the summer and road up is good.

If you get on hwy 19 in WVa - watch your speed, it's a racket thru there.
