How about the Chevron at around 10:30 - 10:45
Great see ya there
Another great day
Well it was another successful ride with a good time had by all (at least I hope). Well except the people that were in that nasty car wreck on the 177, hopefully they will all be OK.
Sorry to see you leave AZ but looking forward to a nice long trip in northern Cali. next year.
We didn't try the route you had posted as we has a 2up Buell with us but we did take the dirt road to the Dam. I will have to try out your route next time as it looks pretty cool.
For anyone wanting to post a ride in the next couple of week while we are in Spain please do.
I almost forgot, thanks for letting me try the BMW. I think I am going to enjoy the G650GS very much.
We had a great time, thanks for letting us tag along! We finished the day by riding to Show Low, Payson, then back here to Maricopa. A long day, but well worth it.
Bill & Paul,
Thanks guys, every trip has been a blast. I appreciate you both for allowing me to tag along and showing me so many cool places. I plan to make it back for some more fun before your visit next year.
Have a great time on your trip, you'll tell me all about it right?
Had a great time. Good to see you guys again. Jay thanks for letting me try your bike. I liked the 650. When I was rolloing over 300 miles on the day with the WRR I was thingking about that sergant seat. Ya'll take care see ya again soon. Wade. Bill thanks for posting those DAM pictures.
Paul & Bill :
You guys be extra careful over there, not that I believe Sergio will get you in trouble but as with all reports---NO Pix, Didn't happen-- So you know the rules . Tell Serg I said YO! you might relay the KTM story to him, In fact bring him back w/you if you can. Serg is OK in my books.
Will be looking forward to your RR & photos also an advisory for Bill--NO RUNNIN W/da Bulls OK Keep in touch.
I think I may have a rare opportunity at riding this Saturday.
So I'm gonna start planning for it already.
For a little bit of a challenge I'd like to try out some new-to-me roads through Tonto.
Basically head up through Apache Trail,
hit the 288 towards Young,
make a right on NF-203 which turns into NF-202(heard that was a really nice road) up to Young.
Gas back up at Young and head home via the 288/ Across Rd. and up over Four Peaks.

if you're uneasy with the route there are various points where you can bail. The 288 is really easy. Apache Trail as well so you could get a nice day ride in and head home if you don't want to do 300ish miles of mostly dirt. :)
I've got the start point ad QC Cafe but I'm flexible. Should be a great ride.
have you check your route from points C thru G.
may not be noob or bbf........
Been through that route.... Pretty easy big bike stuff and noob doable.
That's the part that I've never done. If it gets too tough we could always backtrack and head for A-cross. A-cross over to Oso and 4 peaks is a nice fun & easy ride.
I'm taking Reidy's words with a grain of salt because he's a mad man on a big bike.
Looks like a really fun ride. What time would you be leaving the morning?
I am a noob rider, but am interested in doing the apache trail section, or the 4 peaks section and then bailing for home.
Would you mind me tagging along for a segment?
it's getting hot so the earlier the better but like I said before, I'm flexible.
For now, just to put a time out there let's say kickstands up at 8:30.
As for the route
you can do Ap Trail to the dam and back.
or if you have no fear of getting lost do the entire ap trail & 4 peaks loop.
That's always a nice one.
I can go as early as you want. I usually start my stuff at sunrise. I am up to ride apache trail with you guys, or if you want to ride Counter Clockwise I am interested in 4 peaks. I don't think I would do both without someone else.
I will plan to see you on Saturday morning.
the 202 is really like the 202! just un-paved. getting there is not as easy, but very doable.
Wish I could go on this one, it looks like a great ride.
