It going to be sunny and upper 50's tomorrow. Was thinking of a nice ride up the River Rd., across the ferry to Calhoun county and do some exploring. Im riding my ol' xr250 in case I get into a technical spot. Ill be at the Mcdonalds by the Alton bridge around 10 if anyone cares to join me.

I would check to make sure the ferry is running before you go.

    Have fun

you got a route? Looking for dirt and gravel, no more pavement. I could be interested, I don't know of any trails in Illinois.

No exact route plans. Just figured crossing the ferry and zig zag back and forth on some back country roads some gravel.Im all for getting off road as much as possible. I plan on doing some "exploring". Crossing back over at either Hardin or Kampsville and zig zag back down to alton

    1Wheel,

I'd join you tomorrow but my hand's in a cast, wrist surgery. I love the Calhoun Co. run between rivers and have done it many times, all the way down to the ferry. Try going north out of Kampsville and take the first road left. Then start hitting the criss-crossing roads between the rivers going south, some cool vistas.
