    Hey Uber/Ooobah

What type of terrain should we expect?

Are street tires okay, or are knobbies required?

Dood! This IS the ride for you! Almost specifically! Family can hold the fort at the resort for the day while daddy (you) goes out and rides for the day! It couldn't be sweeter!

Some details such as the cost of the rally itself and pig roast are being worked out and should be posted in a few days. Accommodation on the other hand can be had by phoning the number posted at the bottom of the poster. You will get the "group rate" when you mention the promotional code. Hope this helps... Also just for giggles go to the resort web site to have a peek at the place and to get an idea of the accommodations that you can expect. elmhirst dot com

I hope it is a lot better than the regular rate. I came up with $600 for 2 nights if I bring the kids and $370 if I don't.

The guy I rode across the country with last year is the owner of this place... He rides a 990! ......so ya I guess you could say that with the exception of drunken midnight wheelies down the runway they are pritty open to the bike thang!

    fixt( I had to)

But on the bright side they have a wide open runway for wheelie practice/competition:evil . That way the midnight wheelies will be real impressive:thumbup .

You may be able to camp more nearby than you think! We are working out the details to be able to provide some limited camping spots in the Hangar area of the resort near the end of the runway.....so a shorter stagger to bed after the evening festivities! We realized that it is somewhat likely that the cottages of the resort will fill up for the weekend but we didn't want that to limit the number of possible rally participants ....so.....all of the social activities will be part of the rally... so yes no matter where you choose to camp you are more than welcome to all of the rally festivities!
