Sure there was some rumbling in the sky when I started to get my gear on...but what the hey...it's only water.:1drink

Wegster and I braved the famous NC summer rains and headed out. Granted, we are probably pretty close compared to others...only 30 miles...so there we were...

    Only two bikes
    [IMG]

Had the good wholesome food (in case you're wondering...those are fried onions on top of the "mini" burgers)

    Good Conversation...Thanks Wegster!!:beer
    [IMG]

By the time we finished the rain had stopped and it was a nice, cool evening...even with all the rain gear on
    [IMG]

One of the few times Wegster was able to bend down...sure hope your knee feels better in the morning:kurt
    [IMG]

Hope to see more of you all at the next one:ddog

Sorry Wegster if I dragged ya out...but it was nice to finally see ya in person and get some more riding time in...we'll keep all the other exciting stuff that happened tonight just between us..:shog

I"m kinda amused that **rain** staved off an ADVrider dinner.

Then again, I probably wouldn't have gone out in it either.....

Hope your knee does better soon, bro!

I can't make the Sunday get togethers but if they were move to Sat. evenings, I stand a better chance of making it. But don't reinvent the whell on my behalf, if ya'll have a good thing going, go with it. But if Saturdays sound good to anyone else...?:lurk

Last night was the second get together. The first had 6(if I remember) and last night only those two hard core people. Any night we get together and meet is fine with me. Anyone else have any better ideas??

I will be able to make SOME of the Sundays, but Saturday would be MUCH better for me, personally, since you asked....

I'm a Clayton rider that's interested in either Saturday or Sunday meet and eat.

WOW:eek1...I wasn't expecting that much of a responce to my Sat "idea". So is this going to be a regular thing to plan on or is this going to be a once in a while thing? There are also a couple of really good spots to eat in Garner , near the 70/401 split that are easy to get to and have pretty good food.

What does everyone think about any of this or should I just go blow it out my arse:loco?

Judging by the people that have came, the Garner area wouldnt be bad either(I am partial to Fuquay because of where I live). How bout we meet again in Sept. Maybe the 21st? I think thats a Sat.

Sept 21st is a Friday. 22nd is Saturday and works for me. Either location is good for me as well....even if it rains:D

Well, Fuquay is definately better for Mrs. Praetorian as we live in Wilmington, but we could do a Garner every once in a while. With the dinner being on Saturdays, my in-laws can keep the kids for the night on Saturday night and the wife and I can both come. She rides also and is liking the idea of us riding the bikes up there for a dinner every month.

OK..I see that this is a monthly thing. For whatever reason, I thought this was a weekly gathering(I would go broke that way):D. I know that the 22nd is the date on the platter, but is the 15th a possibility? My wife has a concert that she is performing in the weekend of the 22nd:wings(bragging on spouse moment:nod). But I could probably sneek out the evening of the 22nd if it is up in Garner. We'll see how it turns out.
