Never heard anything like that.
Yeah Tyrone. They don't seem to stay one place very long .
Most successful businesses stay in one place for a long time.
Which word doesn't fit here?
Website says BMW Motorcycles of Tyrone..... nothing of Triumph or Ducati.
A while back I was looking at Ducati and noticed they did not have any new inventory
Forget Kissell's moving.....this is really the tragedy in State College!!!!
Where will we throw peanut shells???
I thought they had organized an "adventure ride" based out of the hostel with food on site. Seems like it was $$$ and didn't pan out. Just figured it was somehow tied together?
Oh yeah.... remember that now. Never made headlines (or ANY news) did it?
That was in madmaximum's front yard I think.
Yeah baby... off work till Jan.
Got 1 Cataract removed today.... job is to dusty to work ... off 2weeks for each eye!!!!!
That was the "soggy bottom" event at godspeed hostel. Way overpriced and was a huge flop. They did have a scaled down version this year, not sure how it went.
Kissell has been planning this move for a year or more. They bought a building that used to house a car dealer, but to me it doesn't seem like the ideal location for a BMW dealership. It is very close to unlimited cycle, maybe they are trying to grab some of those customers.
Clue me in how did you make that? It’s awesome.
Even though the core State College area has $$$, still not enough people in....and especially outside...the area that want what he was trying to sell. Rural PA....and that's what it is despite what SC people think... is not BMW/Ducati/Triumph territory.
After 3 locations in the past 10-12? years....think he's starting to get a clue?
I think it has more to do with their reputation for ripping people off etc. I have a BMW and I drive to Port Clinton.
Having never dealt with them, I didn't want to 'go there'.
But....not the first time I've heard that either.
Soooo..,,you combine those two things...and no wonder he's where he is.
Dropped in on the Kissell location in State College about 2 years ago with a friend of mine, me on a FJR and he was on a BMW K1200LT at the time. Walked around inside the store on a Friday afternoon in early November, we were there for probably about 20-30 minutes looking at everything, bikes, clothes, accessories and never even got a simple "Hello" or "Can we help you?" from a soul in the place. Among the worst first impressions of a bike shop in my 30+ years of riding.
I was at Hermy's BMW in Port Clinton on Saturday and was spoken to by 2 different staff members at length.
I agree a much different experience. Hermy's has been building on and expanding while kissell seems to move every couple of years.
I went to Kissells to buy a tube for my F800GS and the parts guy tried to convince me my f800gs did not have tubes...plus they ripped off a good friend so no confidence in them.
What really torqued my friend was the fact we parked right in front of their front doors so his K1200 was in plain sight. We stopped by Track & Trail not too far away form there and were both greeted and spoken to by staff and later that afternoon dropped by the Harley dealership where we were not only approached but told where the coffee was and spoken to by several of the staff. I think it's like when I bought my Buell years back, the good dealers are hard to find and the bad dealers ruin the taste for anyone considering a purchase.
Damn shame. I spent almost 16 years working part time for a HD dealership and ALWAYS made it a point to acknowledge every customer regardless of what they came in on.
I have been shooting a lot of 360 videos on the Samsung Gear 360. Great little camera. Around $100. I then used a free software to change it to a regular video, but I pic what you look at. So the perspective changes instead of you seeing everything.
