the 1200GS has the plug on the left side under the seat...

I think you'll need a socket the is fused directly to the battery..

the stock socket is canbus controlled and "fused" to shut off at 5 amps and the fuel pump runs at about 7Amps causing the stock plug to shut down..

    http://www.burnsmoto.com/bmw-fuel-pump-bypass-instructions.php

If you put a battertender plug (SAE) [IMG] direcly to the battery with a 10 amp fuse, it would serve as a place to keep your battery maintained and a lead to use for the bypass cable if needed..

I use this charger for my bike... (canbus freindly)

He lists the F800GS on his site.... so I would think he would know which one of his products the bike takes,,, my bad.
Looks like I would have to have rigged the accessory plug directly to the battery for it to work, which begs the question why the accessory plug.. :norton
Wasn't the controller anyway, but figured I would keep the cable ..just incase.

Thats ok, we can fix the cable he sent you..

you Prolly got the cable with the BMW plug (wich will not werk with you stock Acc. Plug.

there are a couple of ways we can fix it..

option one send it back and get the SAE plug, Then go the battery tender route in my previous post. (good idea If you plan to get a battery charger/maintainer)

option too: cut the BMW plug off the cable you have now and replace it with an SAE plug from Advance Auto Partz. then go the battery tender route.

Option 3: Keep the cable you have and modify your stock BMW socket and connect it directly to your battery with this kit from powerlet

    http://www.powerlet.com/shop-by-veh...ct/low-profile-powerlet-socket-kit-12/164/690

Option 4: have hermy's fix you fuel pump and keep the cabel you have because sure as shit if you have the correct spares you'll never need them:lol3

Option 5: just say eff It and buy a KLR

The blue plug does not plug into the Fuel pump controller.
It is intended to bypass the fuel pump controller...

you have to remove the controller Then the Blue plug will plug directly into your fuel pump under the controller (hence the Bypass) :deal

Just like we did on sunday. (except I had the SAE version that I made myself with the blue plug from my old controller and the SAE connector from Advance auto.

what the eff is going on with the mother effin foto effin buckette web effin site!!!!!!!

He thought the f800 had a plug on the side like the 1200. So my cable is for a 1200... I guess hes making a longer one for me.

    well there you go...

thats what you need to make your own SAE Bypass cable..

Just ask hermy's for an old fuel pump controler, then cut the plug off the and fit it to the end of that cable...:clap
