In 1740, Colonel Morgan Morgan, Dr. John Briscoe, and Jacob Hite started West Virginia’s first Episcopal Anglican Church here. During the Revolutionary War, funds were being raised to build a new chapel; however, the local County Court ordered that the funds be temporarily confiscated and used for powder and lead. (The funds were later returned.) After the war, Morgan Morgan II, an outstanding lay leader, contributed to establishing the new Episcopal Church. Colonel Morgan Morgan and other prominent early settlers are buried in the cemetery. The present building which was built in 1851 is the third church on the site.
During the Civil War, the building was used by soldiers. They left behind numerous inscriptions on the walls of the small room behind the chapel. The chapel and graveyard are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Maybe some of you panhandlers can help an inmate out.

This bike scratched the itch for today, but about the only plus I could find for it was the fact that it is a motorcycle and I was riding it
Fun fact: many more bikes waved at me while on this bike than I ever got on my drz/sm.

Great day for a ride!
I guess I spoke to soon. I almost went for it yesterday but ended up riding to Seneca Rocks. The breakin period for my wr250r is officially over!
I'm trying not to push it to hard but my leg is healing nicely.
I can post pics when I get home but.....no duck, Bruced? Or MIA?
*edit to add pics*
Looked all around the base and no Ned...
He was left about 4 inches to the east of the sign covered with a bit of grass. You would have seen him.
I turned over tufts of grass and pulled up a small bit of that mesh stuff under the grass. Even had help looking by a non ADV buddy of mine.
I guess we wait a bit and see if another inmate checks in with a tag post. If there's nothing by quittin time tomorrow, I can make the tag I planned on my way home from work.
