I was thinking about going up to SD and Badlands this weekend. I'd leave Friday from Denver, go north through NE and SD then back into Denver on I-76 on Sunday. Then I realized that's Mother's Day, and I'm not a fan of weekend traffic.

Is Mother's day traffic limited to certain areas? What would it be like on the Freeways and NP's?

You have to remember that Denver is the new L.A. it SUCKS. that said, if you do the Kalifornia thang and try to avoid the peak times, and peak roads, it's doable. So avoid Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning goin out, etc, you can make it happen, and have a nice time. I got caught in the gridlock (predictable) last year, and regretted it. Burned up my clutch. Should have thought, Alternate route, alternate time, and i would have been ok
