Patrick Trahan from Quebec rides an electric bike in recent rally, a first.

"If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's an electrical problem." Whole new meaning there.:D

Good to see Patrick is riding in a rally again. Especially back in the desert.
The electric bike looks awsome. Looking forward to seeing more and wishing Patrick the best.

100 km range (in sand). Gonna guess 150 on trails around here...3 hours for a full charge. Not too shabby...Pat says the torque is awesome, it has gears unlike most electric bikes....

Hopefully someday something like this is available to the public at a reasonable price....

It is great to see Patrick back on a race bike again. It is his passion, :D along with running tours.

Great job Patrick, you have come along way and you are a true inspiration to many.

    Ride fast and safe friend.

    Cheers

Thanks guy! It was amazing to race rally again. I have to admit that I was not sure if the 52 Titanium screws and plate would be too much of an obstacle but it went good. I love preping my roadbook and leaving solo in the desert full speed. OKay I could only do 120, but I manage to pass many people in silence.. They freaked when I pass like a missile! hahah:rofl
The dunes were a bit complicated. that bike weighted 185kg. So it like taking a GS in full rally dunes. But I managed. Now I know I can ride the dunes with a GS1200 anytime.

    here a few more pics
Thanks again for your good words. There will be more rallyes :D ;)

Yeah, a silent bike would drive him nuts :lol3

I don't think I'd like it much either come to think of it.
