Anyone know of an electric trials bike out there yet? I see that Zero has an MX, but I am searching for a electric trials bike.

    Thanks...

Aren't most electric bikes automatic? I know of one that has a standard shifter, etc but the name escapes me. I would think that an automatic would be a lot more hard to work on the tough sections of the course.

Then again, what do I know? I've never rode a trials bike, just watched vids.

Have a gander in the trials thread there's a few already being actively discussed, particularly for the kids like mecatecno. Can't recall the adults version but there's one I saw at a local comp that certainly covers teenagers sizes.

Most so far have been single-speed, no gearbox. The Brammo Empulse is a shifty. There'd be no need for shifting on an electric trials bike since you never go fast enough to go beyond the RPM range of an electric motor.

    How 'bout a electric bicycle?
IZIP E3 Peak, 22kg, $3k, mid drive 48v motor to 9 speed cassette, range 25 miles.

Electric MTBs are a big deal in Germany with trials types sure to follow.
