So, what's the plan? Saturday the 9th?
...but I would vote for the weekend of 2/16-17.
That is, if we are all still around after 12/21?
Well It might be a quick and easy ride to the gate...LOL
I'm a Maybe...I thought it was fun in a sick way. Maybe I can get the pass to spend the night and enjoy the festivities.
Can't wait! My 500 is soooo much lighter to push up hill in the snow and the Sprinter has a diesel heater installed
If it doesn't snow.. perhaps we should drop down Argentine and then come back over webster
Lets NOT make it valentine's day perhaps for once?
That said, I'm in for whatever works.
I might try my luck on the 690
iv done it on my 620 many times
you will love the 690
Valentines is mid-week, so either weekend is open.
I'm in a class from 2/2/13 through 2/11/13 so can't make the 9th.
Cheers to whatever happens!
Paging Psycho Steve to the white courtesy telephone.
I vote for the week after Cupid's Drive-By Festive Shot in the Ass. :huh
May offer another week or 2 of good snow
Looking forward to testing these out again:
Its the second Sunday in Feb. correct? Or do people get to vote on it nowadays?
Second Sunday in February is what it always is.
I ran some and they did great until the webing ripped and I lost half of them. Did you have any issues with yours?
Where did you get these?
Yeah, second Sunday. I asked about Saturday because I always go up for the camp-out the day before.
Made em. I don't think anyone is currently making them for sale, but there have been some companies in the past.
Sounds like a good ride for the hack. Can't keep up with the Urals though
I'll have to work on some chains/cables too.
I was thinking just lashing straps around the tires would help tons, since the fabric sticks to the snow. I have a bunch of them I use for changing tires, will have to give that a shot.
They are only quick until it gets deep enough they high center
Note about the chains: depending on the bike, swingarm clearance can be an issue. If a chain was to slip side to side at all it could really tear up your chain or swingarm quickly so make sure if you build them they can't move.. even when dumping horsepower into them.
Yeah - and I only have 1 WD. I'll have to stick a winch on it
Goog points on the chains - thanks.
