Hello my two wheel brothers! Finally I catch some free time to post my RR from my last trip. I done Isle of Man this year in June. This is my second RR after I done Balkan tour http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291616. Whay did I chose IoM? Well, this was my dream almost for 4 years when I bought my 'normal', big bike. Well it is not big, but it is good . Last winter I was searching how I will come to IoM, what I need for trip, where I will catch ferry, how to enter into UK...I read lost of stoies from IoM and from UK, what is worth to visit, what can I expect fro trip, etc. Idea was to travel alone and spent 12 days on trip. 12 days of my dream ride! Here you have my pics and words. Sorry for my English, it is not my first language. In February 2009 I reserved and payed ferry ticket from Liverpool to Douglas, company is Steam Pocket. This was a big step forward because I read lots of story that this may be a biggest problem to reach IoM if you don't buy ticket at time. When I was sure that I got a ticket i prepared my bike fot this trip. From my house to Liverpool there is about 2200km, so this was my biggest solo trip done to today time. Here is a map of this trip: I preprared my bike, put navigation on it, put money into wallet and then I go. I was travelling throught Slovenia, Austria, Germany, France and UK mainly throught highway. Here are photos: Slovenia: If you are travelling throught Slovenia you need to buy vignete for highway. It was 17,5 EUR and last 6 mounth. Now they have changed this, I think now is much more expensive then it way two month earlier. Also if you are travelling throught Austria on highway you need vignete. It costs I think 20 EUR for 2 month. If you are traveling on highway you ned to know that tre prices of food and dring are little bit expensive then on normal roads. Here are some food which I eat and pay more than 10 EUR: In Gerany I was sleeping in freind of mine house, he is living near Stuttgart and he is driving this : It is Yamaha he and his friend took me out in small place near Stuttgard to see town and to eat there. We eat in chinese restoraunt (but what did I eat dont' ask, I really don't know what is this!) I have also visited small, but very famous manufracturer of custom motorcycle, American A.T. Cycles. This is not a kind bike which I really like, but owner of this bike said that this bike is 200.000 EUR worth! After leaving my friend I continue via France to Calais to catch train for UK. France highway a pretty expensive! And finally I reached Calais. I was a little bit worried to get into train and drive under sea, but everythink was ok!
