There must just be so many tags in EASTERN NY that no one has an interest in them anymore.
Just so you know, the hula-hoop made quite a come back about 10 years ago.
When the weather gets too crappy for most riders the tag will move out of the east.
We may be there...
I was close to grabbing it yesterday but ran out of time. I was close.......
It's like Deja Vu, but with a different bike:
am I in the wrong thread?
No, not really. I stopped in Horseheads to warm up some. If I had time I would of ran up and got it.
This weekend is out for me, damn work thing is in the way again.
No, the Twilight Zone.:eek1
This is what I was up to when Old_Lion called me about the bike problems they were having up in Maine (see other thread).
Hope it is OK that I didn't ride my fat ass up on thier lawn and rut it up.
School is out for today.
I had tried to stop at the Genoa Hotel, the King Ferry Hotel and later the Aurora Hotel - none of them are open that early. So I kept going on up 90 until I got to 20, where I headed WEST! Hear that you guys? WEST! I thought about something in Seneca Falls, but decided that wasn't quite far enough. So I kept going on to Geneva, where I found this place:
It can be identified from the road by this sign:
I included the sign about the buffet for the hungry ones out there. You know, the ride to eat types. For those that need more information I am trying to wring the coordinates out of the cheesy gps app in my Blackberry. I figured the buffet sign would be good enough for Mark_O as he can find food from states away.:dg
Ok, who is going to race me over there???
Find food, feh, I can smell food from states away. GPS no good for me, I have a PGS. (Pretty Good System)
I'm game. It's about 40 miles shorter for you round trip as it is for me one way. It would have been a nice ride for yesterday, although I didn't have a bad ride yesterday..
Yesterday I had a nice 35 mile round trip work commute to bracket my 12 hour shift in the factory. That's why I was eye balling the weather channel as my wife was getting ready for work this morning. She called me from work and asked if I was going for a little ride. So, I guess 200 or so miles is a little ride. More would have been better, so I rode up to meet her at work, went to Doug's Fish Fry in Cortland for dinner and just got done riding home from there in the first rain I saw all day. I just went fast enough the rain missed me and got everyone else.
So i needed to bring my snowmobile shocks to lansing for a rebuild, and happened upon this little gem on the way, have not been on the thread for a while... Damn the bad luck..." better late than never!"
Time to head WEST.........
There it goes! Westward ho! Did you have the lunch buffet? I have had a dinner/wedding reception and a breakfast brunch the following day, but never a lunch.
Way to go Mark!
No buffet for me. Just over 300 miles round trip, after work, I just got home.....it was just starting to rain a bit. May get a new tag tomorrow if it's not pouring.
