The hostel with the hot tub is Pigeon Point Lighthouse. I think you have to reserve your hot tub time as well. About 1.5 miles south of there is the Highway 1 Brewing Company.

If that one is booked, there is another lighthouse hostel:

Also in that area is Cameron's English Pub/Inn/Campground. Probably boring to you, unless you are craving an English bitter.

There are huge forest fires in the northwest. It may affect your route to Glacier or Yellowstone.

A big fire in Glacier. Going to the Sun Road is back open.
A major fire on hwy 12 in Idaho. The hwy is currently open but the smoke is horrible. I live a 100 mi from the fire and have been wearing a spray paint respirator for 5 days. Winds expected this weekend. I would skip this route.

A very nice route eastward is go east near Bend Oregon to Boise Idaho across the Oregon desert. Someone mentioned Shaniko. This and the Fossil Beds region and lots of nice roads.
Boise northeast across 21-75-93 to Salmon Idaho is a gorgeous ride along the Salmon River. Then north to Glacier.

I-90 across north Idaho is also a good hwy. Interstate but scenic and lower traffic. Currently smokey.

Do be aware of the fires. Very bad this year. Hundreds of thousands of acres on fire in each state OR, WA, ID.

I second Pantah's route. Mokey to Canyon De Chelley is terrific.

Dan and Rose will be departing Sonoma headed toward Lake Tahoe in morning. Then they will head toward Winnemucca, Hells Canyon, Glacier National Park. If anyone has recommendations for camping, lodging and places to see please chime in.

Thanks for posting the pics, Joe! We are currently in Missoula and heading up Glacier National park tomorrow. It's going to be a beautiful ride so we are looking forward to it a lot. We had a brilliant day riding past the Lochsa river yesterday.
