would it be asking too much to give the airheads a forum of their own. the endless stream of threads about every single little tedious trivial who cares goddam thing these guys can think of is pretty lame.

hey my bings are leaking gas should I turn off the petcock?

hey how much is a /5 worth if its got an updated head lamp.

hey someone on craiglslist is selling a Ural and calling it a BMW is that legal?

hey look at the PD I just went and looked at for the 4th time and didn't buy.

hey what kind of tires should I buy for a /6 with tired starter?

    fucking please someone shoot me.

couldn't airheads get their own forum?

please? I'll even volunteer to moderate it.

    thank you.

They are already relegated to Old's Cool, how sequestered would you like them to be?

as sequestered as GSpot or Thumpers.

as sequestered that when someone (like now) wants to

a: take his valve covers off or

b: wonder what his bike will look like without a fairing

    etc etc.

that I don't have to start looking for a bridge to jump off to ease the pain.

advrider rode the wave of the GS1150 and it was rightfully given its own forum. I could be wrong but it seems there are a heck of a lot more airheads than oilhead GS's so it's not exactly a stretch.

I've got an old aircooled shaft-driven bike too, but my make doesn't have half the forum's first page stickified just to deal with a certain European marque's never-ending issues. The other problems those bikes have are generally owner-created, but that's another problem altogether. :D

How 'bout a half-way measure, consisting of a forum dedicated only to said marque's driveline issues?. That move would quarantine about half the whinery into one place. :freaky

Did you know that after the electro-magnetic pulse weapons are deployed against us, it will be the airheads and their riders who rule the roads?

You know how particular and pedantic they can be. I wouldn't :amazon them.

I kind of like this idea. Then I wouldn't have to wade through all the tedious threads about restoring some old POS ricer just to find the good stuff for my classic German machine.

I'd love the idea of an Old's Cool forum without the PBFs.

Señor kBasa might have a different opinion, though. :lol3

This is the best Ask Baldy thread ever.

    By far.

I'll wait to start a thread asking if the R100RT would look better with an S fairing, and what everybody thinks of my cafe conversion idea.

Hopefully this new subforum will be set up soon - before ADV gets sold.

We can't really answer that question until you tell us how you plan to take care of the paint on the fairing, and who painted it.

It matters who did the painting. Anyone who know anything about painting uses that guy exclusively.

Personally, I lick my bike clean after every ride; if I run out of gas, it's time for a top end/carb rebuild...yeah, airheads could use their own forum.

No self-respecting airhead owner would ever run out of gas.

Mileage and distance to empty is calculated down to the 1/100 of a mile.
