Does anyone know which enduro KTM's are being used the most at Erzberg? EXC or XC? I hear the 300's do very well.

Looking at the coverage over the past few years, the 300 2T seems to be the weapon of choice.

However, for example, Andreas Lettenbichler podiumed a few years in a row on a G450X four stroke which is widely considered to be a relatively poor technical enduro bike, compared to the competition.

As in almost all of these cases, the rider makes 99% of the difference.

For that last 1%, truly technical riding like Erzberg might be a bit easier on a light two-stroke, not that it couldn't be done on a 450/530/etc.

Chris Birchs' (NZ) first choice has been the 300 EXC for Ersberg, Romainiacs, Roof of Africa over the last few years but he has recently changed to the 350 XCF, his comments so far are very positive but he hasn't competed on the bike yet.

Jarvis is on a 300 2T as well, those are definitely the weapon of choice for extreme enduro events. His is a Husaberg but that's a blue KTM now anyway.

I don't think they even sell the XC models in Europe (at least not in Austria), so the basis are EXCs.
