Great to finally see you here on ADVrider my friend.
Looking forward to your report here this year
Damn. I met Flavio on the road in Ethiopia, quite the guy! I'm glad he's ok though. Is he the one who's arranged your trip to Erta Ale (love the pic).
Its time to say Ciao, to Flavio.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Who wants to see how this guy is riding, should visit his homepage.
On the road again, and of course as often as possible on that tracks, where there arent many cars around.

The route is different in many parts.
Like South Sudan, east coast of lake turkana, Mosambique and of course Madagascar.
You can ask me when I'm back in Salzburg, no problem.
The bike looks so much better with a bit of dirt on the tyres !
Have a great trip Joe
Her caption: "This new 1190 is much nicer than the 990 Joe rode through here last time"
Joe, since you are now clearly on the road, with red mud on the tires, how about some early first impressions of the 1190R?
I will also be following your report! Interested in the 1190. The range sounds very good.
I also like the Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires, have them in the same size as you plan to use on my RXV 550
Good luck on the road!
This is great to see new Adventure R in the action.
Keep up the good work. Flavio is a great guy, sorry to hear about his troubles. Ethiopia, went for a week and stayed for a month.
You're a great photographer as well as adventurer. Still, when I hear Pichler and Austria, I think great wines.
Anyone mind if a take a seat?
Flavio is lucky to be alive
Greatings from Prague, Jo and the very best for the rest of the ride!
Looking forward for more pics and impressions.
I'm still undecided what to buy next spring... This new 1190R, the last 990R or to adventurize the 690 (surely the best offroad, but two cilinders are two cilinders)...?!
Thanks Joe for taking us along. Look forward to riding along and dreaming I was there!
Have a great trip, and please let us know how the 1190 is performing. We are all dying
to know what you think...
Dan...... think you can have any longer of a signature?! :huh
Turmi South Ethiopia
If a Hamer guy is leaving his home village as an.
He has to carry two things, his seat and a Kalashnikov.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o>Caleb on his 525 EXC is going with me along the east coast of Lake Turkana to Elye Springs.
Its a bit unfair, hes the much better rider and has the much lighter motorcycle.
Not too many people ride the dirt track from Todanyang directly to Kalokol, close to the Lake Turkana. But its a really nice riding there.
<o>From Kalokol to Elye Spring then there is no track anymore. Either you go through deep sand, or along the shore. But it isnt always easy.
<o>But now i have already the second cold Tusker and tomorrow I'll go to South Sudan.</o>
