Well, shoot. Sorry I missed it. I'll fill you in on Sunday's ride at the Wednesday meetup... :eek1
I'll be back in pdx picking up a bike or two, maybe 3. Don't forget the part where we jumped that washed out road and charted a course thru the Opel creek wilds
... have the salmon with veg on rice; good and good for ya.
Went out with Nopo and LoudAl on a merry dirty bike ride from Yamhill to Pacific City yesterday; mixed usfs/blm/private gravel rds, some single track and some sand... ok, parking lot at the Pelican...
Surpisingly little traffic on the way home considering the holliday.
DR continues to impress- needs a seat improvement though.
Well, as imperfect as it is/was, the balance on the front Beemer tire is good enough that I noticed no vibration or other oddities at speed....
I however had a shitty vibe- but I chalked that up to the spoked wheel's untrue nature- looking over the windscreen at low speed it zigs and zags noticeably per rev. Maybe my "free" balance is to blame, I'll try adding the amount of weight your balancer indicated before I pull the wheel off and put it in a jig for adjustment: what I build will serve both purposes- balance and truing.
stupid motorcycles. The DR has better balanced and truer wheels...
That otta buff right out
Ah thats just a Flesh Wound...........
Damn Link you ok? I don't know what kind of wax your using but it looks like it leaves marks.
Come to Quackers tomorrow night with the rest of us cripples and tell your side of the story.
Almost to food in Silverton, a little low on blood sugar, 30mph corner with a little gravel on it and my concentration lapsed just enough for me to end up sliding into the ditch. I went blank for the split-second I needed to correct. Cracked rib, hip banged up, some arm road rash etc. Was a good ride up to that point though.
Ouch! I'll donate some polishing wax. Did you make it to the food? :kbasa
shoulda come to the pasture picnic,,lots of food and nobody fell down.
Bummer Link... Hope you heal fast.
Are you still coming this weekend?
Crap, Link, get better soon.
Too many crashes this summer.
Ouchie! Any major bike damage?
Damn Link, youse gots to knock that off. Show up today at quakers today and regale us with the gory details. On a lighter note: Mondays ride was excellent. Thanks Monkeybutt. Clicky here, http://goo.gl/maps/r6ogF, for a map of our route.

At least not on a bike.
A very enjoyable meetup last night. I took the opportunity to regale the crowd with my story of Linkweewee's spill in glorious detail and technicolor.
Too bad Linky wasn't there to defend hisself.
Saddest part is his last payment is next month..:huh
We were looking at the next bike he'll crash if this one is totalled; st3 Duc, 1050 Sprint, or another speeeeed trippa.
And yesterday I had the pleasure of riding my buddies BRAND NEW black on black, no stuckers KLR that he just bought...
30mph lowside = total loss?
