I remember the first night on my way there (a different yr.) at 14 degrees, then arrived at Hardy Souls campout,,11 degrees,,(Chip Seal & JimandAnn left the next morning), then 9 or 10 degrees the last night,,fresh slippy snow on the road to Tower Lookout, frost on everything below that a half inch thick!,even inside the tent!,,,but it was good ridin' after about 10 or 11 AM! Hardy Souls indeed,,been Bjorned again! Ellen's chili! won't ride on the gravelly roads,, won't ride in the rain,, won't ride with too many people,, won't camp without facilities,, won't. won't won't! but,," I'll ride clear across the state in the blowing snow over a goat track and sleep and shit in a ditch for a bowl of Ellen's chili!" Those Hardy Souls!
