Yep theres still snow there but its getting alot better. My buddy Brent and I decided to take a run up there to day to see how far we could get. I want to start taking more pictures and so I brought the camera and decided to throw a mini ride report together.

Forgive the pic heavyness, I'm practicing my photobucket skills

    Wheres the trees?

We got a few miles farther than I did a couple weeks ago before hitting any snow at all. Then we proceeded to see how much farther we could go

Its surprising how far you can get through the deep stuff but its alot of work.

The obligitory picture with the bikes

The even better one without people in it

Had to get a picture with a sign in it

We found a side rode on the way out that led to a pretty spot by the river. This is the time I noticed my camera stopped working. Thank god for cell phones

There was alot of mud and pushing of bikes involved and we couldn't wait to grab a burger and beer at the 'ol Pick and Shovel in Wilkenson.

And in what appears to be Advrider tradition heres the meal, although we we were so hungry that we forgot to take the picture until we were half way through....

So there it is, a long winded way of saying there is still alot of snow at Evans Creek but its melting quickly. Hoping to head up FS 70 soon and see how the snow melting is going up there!

Thanks for the report. Takes the doubt out of whether I missed a decent day yesterday up there with my trials bike. Spent it making some obstacles for the backyard instead. Trails will have to wait until some of this snow melts. :cry

Thanks for the ride report. Was this picture taken inside the park on the main road?

That pic was on the road to the campground just off the main road. There was alot more snow alot sooner on that road and we didn't get very far on it. The main road seems to be melting alot faster, I think it has a more western exposure or something...

Didn't know about the jello shots, will have to keep that in mind! I found the motoer vehicle map of the area online afterwards and didn't realize that there were tails there designated for motorcyclces, gonna have to spend alot more time down there this summer!

They're slow and rocky. I like taking my trials bike there but I take my Berg other places.
