Im missing my pickup I had in the states, I'm headed to polo in the morning to check on a trailer. Funny thing today I called Greece to arrange the ferry ticket and after making the reservation I was told to call the office in Venice to pay for it!

Where you staying at I'm booked into the Valledi Village Hotel. I should be just down the road from the bivouac. Still waiting on the Nav. tower items to show up in the mail. I'm keeping the packing list light spare rear tire oil filers and small tool kit. Should I bring Jack Daniels or Jim Beam?

No need for either (travel light), we have ouzo. Lots of it :freaky

Though I am particular to rakî :evil

I booked at Coralli, the evia rally site says it's something like 50 meters from the bivouac.

Did you sort out your support crew?

Ouzo!! I would tell you all about the last time I drank it; only problem is I can't remember what I did after I drank it!!:freaky

No word from the support company from the Neatherlands, I never got a email back so it looks like I'm on my own.

don't worry about it, you will find that more than one person will be willing to lend a helping hand...

good thing about the bivouac based in Kimi all 5 days is that there will be more support crews there (less
expenses for them as they will not be following the course around every single day)

KTM SouthEast Europe will be there as well, they are well stocked for almost every part you might need
(I assume you will be on an exc450)

    Raki. Trust me. :lol3

    looking good!

I see we run the same stabilizer :D

a tip: make sure you a clear view of the stock odo after you finish your set up,
liaisons will almost certainly have strict speed limits in some sections, it's easy to get penalties

also, you will only need a left hand mirror on the bars, and get rid of the gps & it's mount

    32 days left :evil

Did a bit more prep on the bike today. I think I have the brake lines run well.

I take my car Into the shop in the morning. I'm having the euro hitch installed. .8mm on the American spec hitch will cost me 600€. Damn!,

Looking great! i myself am off to the eelctrics guy tomorrow to sort out the second buggy IMO sensor,
installing a second set of controls for the 2nd IMO, then shaking the bike down at a race on Sunday
(second race of the Greek Rally Raid cup)

    whew, that's a lot of seconds :lol3

will post some pictures here or in the navigation tower thread tomorrow.

A tip on tires: do not run Michelin Deserts, but a hard(ish) enduro compound...
lots of snow left in the high mountains, some places of the course will still be wet/sticky
in 3 weeks time (heard it from one of the organisation guys who are writing the roadbook)...

Michelin will have a truck at the bivouac, with special prices on tires and mousses, plus technicians
who will be changing tires for competitors, a price list can be found here

I pick up the bike trailer today and load some of my gear. I'm planing on leaving tomorrow morning for Vicenza Itlay, stay the night then drive to the port the next morning. It's only a hour drive to the ferry dock from there.

I feel like I have a thousand things left to do but I think i have resided to just make sure I have my riding gear, bike and just consentrate on having a good time.:freaky

a friend and I will be loading the bikes early monday morning and heading up the bivouac for registration and scrutineering, we should be there by noon...

What time / day are you passing by Athens? I'll pm you my mobile number in case you need any last minute
stuff. I am still on Easter holidays (one week later for us orthodox christiansthis year) but also getting excited,
I checked the weather and it's gonna be sunny during the race, temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius,
I am still debating on whether I will be wearing a jacket or mx shirt, plus a mental note to remember to bring swimming trunks for the end of the race :D

Have you booked accomodation close to the bivvy?

Will be in early Friday morning. I'll have all weekend to set the bike back up and get some much needed sunshine. That reminds me sun screen going in the bag right now. I have hotel already booked its listed as being a couple hundred meters from the Bivvy!

    Sunscreen an excellent idea, added.

I am staying in a b&b that's supposed to be 50m from the bivvy,
nevertheless I am also gonna bring my bivvy scooter as well, a Vespa,
and honna try and dig up my rally list tomorrow,
there is just too much stuff to remember

Off the top of my head,
    Survival blanket
    Two flares
    Small mirror

and that's just the organisers required list

    Damn time flies ha ha
