Depends on many things, it's possible to be anywhere from <20% to >100%

Here in PA on the turnpike I've been in the right lane going 90 and getting passed (65mph zone)
Speed limits seem to be arbitrarily set to generate revenue. Why else would cops hide?
If they were serious about catching speeders for safety sake, they'd be out in plain sight, nothing slows traffic like a cruiser in the left lane going 55 mph

I likely "Exceed the speed limit" 99% of the time.

I do it smoothly and ride in such a way that no other road user need alter what they are doing in any way.

Why do I exceed the limit? For my safety! :D

Average? I can average the speed limit, but that means to go +100% as often as possible. In general +40...60% is fine if it's dry and there is daylight left.

I broke my speedo in an accident somewhere in Greece, and rode back to Berlin without it. After a while, you try to stop guessing the "correct" speed (by revs or whatever) and just ride with what feels a safe speed. My mate still had a working speedo and would sometimes yell at me for going way over, and sometimes for going way too slow. That was pretty interesting. Usually, when there's pedestrians or houses around, I'm very calm and will often be found below the limit. Open country roads, and no speed limited posted anyway? I'll go up to 100mph, because after that it gets too windy for my taste ;)

When we would get to where it went from 55 to 65, my brother would always ask "Should we slow down now?"

I'll usually stay within 7-10mph over the limit *conditions permitting.*

...unless I'm on 66 and then bets are off 'cause there's people going 50 right next to people going 80+ and anything in the middle. I'll typically set the cruising control for 67 and surf the right lanes.

I let some other sucker go fast and attract attention. :nod
