M.arked as a reference for future trips. Looks like a fun time.
I am glad you enjoyed it! It is some awesome country.
Thank you for bumping up this report. I am going to have to go thru it again to bring back the great memories!
I was based at Mountain Home AFB from 2001-2005, (then went to Nellis in Vegas). Anyways, I used to drive all the roads around the Owyhee Mountains in southern Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada with my Jeep TJ. Its easily one of the most desolate, but beautiful places in the entire USA.
Excellent RR! I've been reading through all your RR in your sig. Its definitely on my list of places that I MUST go back to.
Lastly, thank you for the pics of the crash site as well as your recall of the Chinook that went down. I became an Aerial Gunner midway through my time in the AF. I distinctly remember that crash in Afghanistan.
Back to reading your other RRs.
love the river crossings.
Do you have tracks or GPS markers?
Thanks for the RR. Some of your pics are just awe inspiring!
Nat Geo worthy.
