I need some rear side racks to:

    a. protect the gas tank and the exchaust
    b. put some side bags without the risk of them getting burned by the exchaust or get into the wheel space

I have seen the Wunderlich setup and its good for a.

I have seen the Denali and its good for b. (and some barbeque ribs If you unscrew them and throw them on fire)

    Any other suggestions?

If you have the access to the necessary tools and skill; Make some yourself.
Cost me $12 worth of scrap metal and about 6 hours of my time. Turned out good enough that I had them powder coated and after 30k, they are as good as new.
