I'm purchasing a used '09 F650 twin this weekend and was wondering if anyone had a picture of the Wolfman Explorer Lite bag attached. I scanned the index thread and found a few pix on the F800 but none on the F650.

Soooo, is it the exact same on both bikes?
My concern is the height of the bag and whether I'll be able to see the control panel and computer OK. This is why I'm considering the smaller bag.

If you or your wife are 5'5" and have a new F650 twin with a Wolfman Explorer Lite tank bag, please take a pic of of Rider,Bike and Bag and post here. Any pix of the bag on the bike would be helpful though.

    Thanks!

This bag is the perfect fit to the bike, in my opinion. Here's a pic, although not the best to show off the bag.

Great pix Amy! Just what I was looking for :clap
Looks like the Explorer Life fits great! Does it interfere with anything stock on the bike?

How tall are you? It looks like the bag doesn't interfere with your vision at all.

Is that your cat riding passenger in that box :eek1:eek1:eek1 it certainly looks like a pet tote from here!

    thanks,

There's also a couple more of the bag on the 650 / 800 GS shown on the rotating header pic's of the Wolfman EU site, one shows with the rider, and looks like plenty of clearance all round.

Here's an Explorer Lite on my F8. Love it, not in the way too much when standing.

    Lobster Girl:

I just bought a Cortech 10L tankbag and it works ok. Not perfect. May send it back and get the Wolfman bag if it works out for you. HATED the BMW F650 bag for exactly the reason you are describing, way to tall and stiff and actually got in my way.

By the way, what color did you buy? I LOVE MY F650! :clap

If you're thinking the Explorer Lite might be a little too tall, then you could take a look at the new Wolfman Express. This is how they both compare fitted on my Versys, I went with the Express and like it a lot, not too big, not too small :1drink.

Thanks! Nice to see the bag doesn't get in the way of the key. The fastex buckles are easily accessible too.

    Thanks!

I have a tank bag on my KLX that's too big and gets in the way when I try to make tight turns. I'll eventually replace it, but it's a mistake I don't want to make again.

I bought a gently used 09 and the color changes between pale glacier blue and silver, depending on the light. I love it :raabia

I'll have to have a closer look the next time I see ya! It looks like the Explorer Lite will work fine on the F650. I need to see how well it would work on the KLX too. The tank bag I have gets in the way of the handlebars on tight turns. May need to go with the Enduro bag for it.

Because of this thread I just bought the Wolfman Express for my F650GS from Sierra Adventures ( from the Vendors forum ). Got a call this morning indicating that they were a little back ordered and would have them in stock Friday'ish. So I should receive it next week sometime.

    Wolfman Install

Hook and Loop straps from local home town type hardware store. One inch wide.

Remove factory straps from rear of bag and replace with home made stainless split square ring.

Loop straps through what I think were made for mounting BMW tank bag.

Make connections at front using straps that came with bag to frame making sure you do not cover ignition. Then cinch down rear straps.

    Nice clean install.

Set more mouse traps or find cat that will pee in to a bottle for ya.

That looks so much better than what I just did :baldy I need a re-do. Is your tank bag still easily removable?
OK, what did you do to the top of the bag? The keeper strap is getting in the way of my steering head and blocks the steering lock. I finally sewed some velcro on the keeper strap then put a piece of sticky on velcro on the back of the ignition surround. I need some sliders to keep the ends of the straps from sliding around.

Whys is this so difficult :dunno
