Mh...I am not convinced that ABS works with engine killed to be honest. I need to try it myself but am currently unable to do so.

Sorry, I know I am indeed late but well all the snow and ice made it impossible to even get close to my garage :D

Well, I have to admit that I told you all bullshit, so accept my sincere apolgies for that. :1drink
Dont try to kill your engine with the kill button to work around "the forgotten ABS deactivation". It will NOT work.

I was in the garage jumped on the fat F8, in second gear I killed the engine and guess: yes the ABS worked! Front and rear :(:

Mh, as Mr. Macklemore (in his song "thrift shop") says, this is f*****g awesome....

    Regards
    Steve

Don't know if anyone can help please?
After two years of a flat battery and knackered charger (company car forced lack of use) I fitted a new battery and my F800GS started on the button - VERY impressed!
However it now has a yellow warning light flashing and a flashing ABS light when I put the ignition on, then when I start it the yellow light goes off, as soon as I drive 2 meters the ABS light goes off!?!
It stays off until the next time I restart, then the lights come on until I drive a couple of meters?????
Have I got to take it to the dealer's???

It was doing exactly the same two years ago. That's the way ABS activates.

Thank you Yaycep & Bmwroadsterca for your VERY prompt replies, I never thought to read the manual... Just need to find it now (put it somewhere safe!), I just don't remember the yellow warning light coming on before!?! Just need to get it MOT'd and then get back to enjoying it all over again!!
