Here's a photo from a 3 day trip I made last July from home base in Tucson to Big Bear. Temp was 105 when I departed Tucson at 5 in the afternoon and 37 when I rode into Big Bear around 1 the next morning. Thank god for a quick look at the weather before departing..... But the real kicker was the ride in 113 degree heat in the I-10 corridor from Joshua Tree to Phoenix on the way back. Yes, it is possible to fall asleep in the saddle. Yes, I emptied my camel back every gas stop.

Wow, this bike looks cool! :clap First time I see that short beak together with TT-Desierto shield on the F8. I was also thinking of these mods.
    Anyway, what paint/color is that?

The paint is PPG Shopline number 45244 (olive green)
I am really happy with the short beak conversion. I like the look and I think it makes less wind noise than the stock beak. I also put on the TT fender risers at the same time.

Nice paint job WW Ronin! Stupid question: are those aftermarket graphics and if so, where to get them and how to get the originals off the bike before painting?

I'm picking this guy up on Friday. Got white so it could be a blank slate!!!

You can peel those graphics right off. Didn't take to much effort. I got the replacement ones from one of the vendors here. I think it was Humvee graphics or some such name.
