Really nice background in these pics. Should be nominated for the front page.

Just ordered one. Half the price of a comparable touratech.

Looks good, HTC. You guys drying out down there? You guys should be getting into prime riding weather, huh?

Yes but the Hurricane damage has me working 7 days a week. I took off early to work on the topbox project....I have boxes like this on my last 3 BMW's. The size works perfect for trips to the store and a place for the mini "Tinker Toy" tools set - so I dont have to get under the seat.

Back home after an afternoon ride in TN. I'm a transplanted northern-er, so it's nice to have the 'cooler' part of the riding season start now. It was about 82 and mostly sunny today.

Had the bike for a couple weeks now. Only time to ride on weekends, so my miles are still pretty low. Mine has the low seat (jacket is sitting on it) and the rest of the options. Bought the Touratech 20/35 liter tail-rack back for hauling day trip stuff.

Great around town, and plenty of grunt (for me) on the highway. 70 to 90mph in 6th happens pretty much 'right now' quick. Don't mind the seat for 2/3 hours, but the windscreen needs an update. Too much rough air for me.

Don't mind me, I'm just jealous. My 800 has been filthy since the day it left the dealership.

    Heh, good point.

Have you noticed that the 800 GS looks brilliant muddy? It seems almost a shame to clean it.

    Here's a picture I took of mine -- it's now my wallpaper.

The bike is also a great deal dirtier now, I just haven't taken pictures recently.

Is there anyone with the BMW bags that can take a picture of how they mount?

They mount on the silver ball on the top bar...and hang from the black metal rail below. The bags have a molded half round channel that sits on (into) the bottom rail...and then you rotate the bag upward and fasten onto the top steel ball.

Nice and discrete, thanks! Beats the whole outrigger look.

Here is the mounting tab on the top and the cupped plastic half circle that the bag actually rests upon along the bottom rail.

Yeah...when the bags are off...the bike looks really "clean".
