And there would be far more orange on the GS than that R!
I would like to see more color choices but as a potential buyer I would rather see ADJ suspension
Indeed. technical changes on suspension would be very welcome, according to what I hear (no experience on this bike yet, which I will do ride before pulling a trigger).
And between the yellow and the dark silver of the 08 and 09 years, I would had opted for the dark silver as well. I want to see what the new colors look like before I make judgment between white or orange. But these colors seem promising to me.
And that matters why?
I think it matters because orange is ugly.
A dark green might be good.
I have seen where you have mentioned this before. I live in SC - ridden when it was 104 and super humid with nary a concern.
My 06 VFR was one hot bugger - talk about roasting thighs. Temps read over 240 in traffic. :eek1
Touratech has a video on youtube that has a white 800 in it. It's probably a custom paint job but I hope this is a sneak peak at the new paint scheme.
Suweet! Had I seen this before I bought my GSA I might have made another choice.
If you have any type of vented pant you will feel it. If not then you don't.
By keeping the shrouds black it definitely makes it more subtle. The orange might be manageable with that scheme but if it includes the shrouds, IMO it would be too much.
And you can always paint it too.
After seeing the orange K bike, ughh! But then again, the GS wont be so orangy, less bodywork.
but the white one would look REALLY nice in this picture.....
Sorry, I cant put quotes form several posters.
BMW's official (or chosen) colour is white with 2 shades of blue stripes and a red stripe.
That's their official racing color scheme, not only for bikes but also for cars. Not as fixed as ktm with it's orange.
Last I've heard, 2010 bikes on these two new colors have already started been assembled. And some are already on their way to BMW dealers in the US. No pictures of 2010 F800GS in Europe so far?
Anything but white. White looks ok on say, a G7 or a police bike, but that is about it.
There are a bunch of countries that have red, white, and blue flags, not just the U.S. Among them (off the top of my head): The UK, France, Russia, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Iceland, The Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Liberia, North Korea, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, Chile, and several more that escape me at the moment. Red, White and Blue is hardly the exclusive domain of us Yanks. Blissful ignorance about the world beyond our borders seems to be, though.

I hear those damn Americans also make vast generalizations regarding an entire population based on the comments of one individual.:fyyff
