Perhaps, but US$79 for customs? :huh And if it's true that the price minus VAT is more like €105, that makes it even worse! Buncha usurious bastiges. :bluduh

Both the Wunderlich and the Touratech tank bags are made by the same company - Kahedo, who also make seats for both as well. Quality is therefore likely to be the same.

Not sure if it's been introduced yet, but the US are raising the import duty on a number of goods categories from the EU to 100%. The reason is the EU will not accpet imports of US beef from cattle that has been given growth hormones.

Possibly the reason for the price hike.

If I didn't already have a nice TT tankbag left over from my Xchallenge I think I'd get the Rainier.

I knew the Wunderlich stuff was...didn't know about Touratech.

Kahedo lists no bag options for the F800GS on their UK website (I can't read German) and lists Touratech as a "partner" but not Wunderlich.

    Wonder why that is....

Thanks for that tip! I had ordered a Wunderlich a few weeks back but canceled after learning there was not even an ETA. So ordered this one (Rainier) and a tail bag for about the same price! :clapCant wait, my pockets are bulging!

Post a lot of pix when you get it, willya bubwould? It looks too big for me, but it's hard to tell from the one picture wolfman seems willing to put up on their web site.

I got a reply to my email on the status of my order for the Wunderlich F800GS tankbag today. In Germany (where I placed my order) they will be available at the end of Feb. I would guess a week or two after that in the US. I am going to stick with the Wunderlich. I would have gone with the Wolfman but by the time I added the overseas shipping I was at almost the same price as I am going to pay for the Wunderlich.

Speaking of the new Wolfman bag, when you look at the Wolfman logo, what do you see? I don't get it. When I look at it I see two people having wild monkey sex on a motorcycle... thats it ain't it??

I can see the Wolf's head clear as daylight, but my daughter just can't see it at all, even when I've explained it.

At the Sjaak Lucassen/Doris Weidemann Touratech event Feb 3 Doris had a Touratech VP45 tank bag/tank pannier combo fitted on her F800GS. I haven't seen it listed on the TT website specifically for the F800GS, but maybe it's adaptable...?

I think she said she was using a TT AV pocket instead of the tank bag. This approach allows more leg clearance--doesn't interfere when standing on the pegs.

For those that don't know, Sjaak (on a R1) and Doris (on a F800GS) are riding from Key West, FL to Prudhoe Bay, AK--in the winter!:eek1

Twisted Throttle is bring out a tank bag setup that will use their ring clip. Nice bags...no straps...should be a good choice for an 800 GS/650 GS.
Saw this idea at the NYC bike show. I understand that they will have it out very soon.

Now that looks like what I'm looking for..... clean and secure mounting (is that 3 or 4 point?) plus a clear view of the guages and GPS. Where do you get one of those puppies?

So I bought a rapid-transit Big City Strap - it doesn't fit well at all. It's going back.

Ordered a Wolfman Rainer that should be here Monday or Tuesday. I anticipate better fit/results with this bag.

I ordered one from the German website about a month ago. It is on back order. I and was told it would be shipping around the end of the Feb. Still have not received it but have a couple of weeks before the before the weather cooperates and I get into rides where I need it. I will probably follow up this week for a new estimated shipping date. Since they are on back order here I would be surprised if they are available in the US.
