Have a great weekend guys, we will not make it this year, due to other commitments. Look forward to some fun pics as always.

    Cheers

We figured out some nice sections to include in our route this weekend. Should be fun, including Troutspawn rd, Black Creek rd, 'under the highway' (as I call it), and a bit of the colonization / old highways just West of Huntsville.
Probably close to 50/50 paved / non-paved (but hopefully no worse than easy double track).
I'm happy to have a few people ride along, but as is fitting for these occasions, you 'ride your own ride' with respect to ability / speed.
There's a chance I may stop in Friday night to say hello, but if not, we will likely be out Saturday morning to meet up.

Have a good time boys & girls.
I can't do it this year, way too much schoolwork to get through by Monday ( including a 15 minute documentary that I haven't even started. Had I planned far enough ahead, I could have used this event a subject for it).
It looks like you are going to have perfect weather for it.
Take lots of pictures for me.

Quite unexpectedly, it looks like a project in Bancroft requires my immediate attention, so I'll be riding much of the day tomorrow.
Will probably stop in at the Den on the way home. See you FF's there.

    .

What I expect I'll ride Saturday:

Google maps does not show Troutspawn all the way to Livingston Lake any more, so I had to show A as the starting point. E is the Wolfden. Just imagine there's a wonky line between E and A.

Zen says she may do much of the same, but at a more 'scenic' pace.

I'll keep you posted, Gary. I've managed to tweak my sched to get out around 7pm but that still puts me on the highway after sundown. I may just head North until hypothermia sets in and find somewhere to stay and do the rest in the am.

    Good looking route, Ferd!

How deep is the water crossing on Troutspawn Rd?

How much of it is gravel? Dirt?

This big pig I'm riding has limited my dirt riding.......gravel is fine!

Troutspawn is fine for you, just a few sandy patches. But I have not been there in the last month or so, so not sure about water levels. There's usually just one crossing, and that's not generally bad.
The forestry road south of Ril lake is really nice, not sure about Old Wagon, but I can direct you to an alternate for that section if necessary.
And the section west of 11 has an old church and community hall that we came across - pretty cool.
There are lots of points along the way to bail to main roads.

Gary and the gang are there already and did troutspawn today, they say there no water except a few random puddles, old wagon d=should be fine for the 800 Robbie, unless it got washed out bad this spring.

I'm on the husaberg this year and am looking forward to more trails and gravel and preferably no pavement if at all possible....
    Anyone else interested?

    Thanks for the route.

I ride up towards gooderham and kinmount quite often on my own to ride some fireroads so finding a new route looks like fun.

Although my weestrom is to big for me so it does enjoy napping often.

    Muskoka Colour report.

The trees just started turning last weekend, with only about 25% of the trees starting to turn.
All the pine trees are still green.

Took a ride this evening out through Terra Nova park and the trees are beginning to turn, with a few bright red trees scattered around. Got to love fall riding!
