    Wow! Amazing adventure...fantastic photography!

I like your perspective of the motor failure...it can happen...it did...& you were just 27 km out...you dealt with it admirably.

Back to the top for others to take notice & enjoy.

Much respect & appreciation for your efforts.

It was just before 50.000km. For now, it's still not cramped, as they are both small. But I guess this year's the last one they fit together in there. Vladimir turns 7 and will be legally (in Romania) to sit alone in the rig. Bad news is Oana doesn't like the passenger seat on the bike. I too have to admit the bike handles better with both of them in the sidecar.

Oh My God. Your pictures are awesome. I've never seen this collection of high quality pics before. You are making an epic family trip, bar none.

Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. Your photography is stunning, composition and timing lessons are well taught. Your family is lucky to have you.

It's Vladimir last year of adventures before school starts. He's 6 now. It's this, and the fact that I think it's the last year Vladimir and Oana both still fit in the sidecar. So we thought we should try something else. I've been there once before, in 2009, on a solo bike trip, so I know the way. Mongolia (link to the story in my signature). We left on the 11th of May.

Here's the first pic, in Bulgaria, somewhere on the Black sea shore.

We had to postpone our leaving with 11 days, due to some issues with the Turkmenistan transit visa that we applied for in Bucharest, so the first part of the trip was in a bit of a rush. So here we were, in Istanbul.

We bush-camped as much as we could in Turkey.

Sand storm in Turkey. It had been chasing us of a few kilometers when we had to stop for gas, and all hell broke loose.

Can't wait to see the rest of this. I've got my own young family and rearing to find the perfect Ural rig, too bad my photos suck unlike your beautiful shots. Vlad. is going to be well learned with all this good travel you're giving him. Best of luck to you all and thanks for sharing!
