Guys, I am trying to organise 3 other riders to join me in riding from Perth to the rally at Farina and with these guys it’s a bit like herding cats !

Can someone confirm the dates for this years gathering please ?
I see it is the June Long Weekend in SA.

    Is that the 9th, 10th and 11th ?

I'm sure Beetle will be along soon but the dates look right to me. Queens birthday weekend in N.S.W.
Might see you there. if I take the Friday off it's a easy return ride from here

Thanks Dennis, we’ll work on those dates unless someone chimes in with a correction ?
Be good to catch up with a few people.

We plan on heading over to Townsville after Farina (catch up with a mate) then down the east coast and back home.
Maybe 4 or more weeks away.

I will post something closer to the date as we would be happy to share coffees or beers with any inmates we may meet along the way.

YES that date is correct, the bakery will be open and generally quite a few roll up on Thursday/Friday. All the best, be great to catch up. Pick up the badges from local supplier next week, just need to make shed time for some unique awards. All the best Beetle- need more info email me at beatbay3@gmail.com or txt 0458294271. All types of bikes and motorcycle interested people are more than welcome. (Camping at Farina camp ground costs $? please make sure you all contribute to help keep the high standard of the campground. The camp fee is separate from me running the Gathering).

As I posted in some other thread.

My ride to Townsville has unfortunately been put back until late June, which meant I would miss Farina, so I decided to do a solo ride across just for Farina.

My plan was to leave on the 4th and be back in Perth by the 14th or 15th, giving me a couple of weeks to recover before leaving Perth again for Townsville in late June.

As of last Sunday I now have a riding companion for Farina, some of you may know him, he will be continuing on home to Darwin after Farina.
(and I am interested to see how his new auto gearbox Honda AT performs.)

Yeah, it’s got suddenly cold here in Perth after a very long drawn out summer.

Thinking I may have to switch from my current riding boots (on the left) to the warmer, waterproof pair on the right.

Hope to be there for a stopover to meet up with a mate in Isa or Cloncurry before Normanton and Cooktown, as long as Birdsville track is good. Last couple of years I have been there a day or two early on the way to Finke.

No it's not but if you are in a 4x4 or what ever vehicle/transport and have a motorcycling interest then you are more than welcome. Been running this Gathering for a long time and things change and some are getting on in age but still want to be involved, chat and share experiences. Regards Beetle.

Jeez, I am leaving Perth Tuesday 5th and the forecast on tonight’s news was for 120kph wind, rain and yeah, storms !

I guess the dirt from Hyden to Norseman might be a no go. :rofl
Bugger, I hate going via Coolgardie !
