I also plan to leave home Friday but only have less than 600km to Farina. See you Saturday.

Rain and wind expected, yeehah !
"Ride boldly lad" and don't fear the cold.
Trish and I leave Thursday early am. All the best to all travelers.
If you stay in Burra, try the one in Main Street, (on way to Adelaide, left hand side) Was nice last year.
Given that one a crack a couple of times Beet. Just depends what time I leave home. If I wait till daylight Burra will be as far as I get
Leaving here in the morning and having a leisurely ride up. Ouyen tomorrow night to watch the Origin game
Well, smart people told me to leave Perth BEFORE the rain, but Claw couldn’t get away until today.
So we rode out through Beverley, Quairading, Merredin.
Getting outa Perth was okay, but out in the wheatbelt, we caught up to the big front Perth had overnight. Really strong winds and heaps of topsoil in the air.
Brown colored rain was coming down.
We were absolutely pissed upon.
Arriving in Southern Cross, Claw discovered his old Dririder was no longer living up to it’s name.
He was soaked, chest, arse, legs. The water had run down his pants and filled his waterproof boots.
With the wind as well, he was on his way to hyperthermia.
More rain expected As we head east.
So, he took a room and is heading back to Perth. No chance of finding any riding gear in SC.
I am pushing on alone. Currently in a Coolgardie Motel thawing out.
Going to try for Eucla by tomorrow night.
Wardy . . good pic !
Bad luck for your mate Eaglebeak, had to can a trip once for the same reason! Unsafe to push thru it,he made the right choice
Geez you old(er) blokes are mad.
No way I would have ridden in that shit today.
Wind Maxed out at 80km/h here at 11.30am this morning .
Take it easy out there Andrew and ride safe mate.
Well, I think you nailed it in your first sentence Darren.
The word “old”.
I’ve never been to this rally and I figure every time I put something off, thinking I’ll do it “next time”, I am aware that “stuff” happens in life and things put off don’t always get done.
“Time keeps slipping, slipping, into the future”
Do you need a feed and a warm bed Thursday night in Adelaide mate?
I'm just down the road at the moment so I guess I should hang around and pop my rally cherry ...
Thanks, but I'll say no. Not enough time. Thanks so much
Yes you should.
Don't forget to ask about the whale joke??
