Thanks, but I don't think so. YMMV of course.
Busy week of bolting things on:
Inmate Twin Headlight Ernie of Dakota Motorsports made me a Fat Foot and a bash plate for the center stand. Main bash plate will be fabbed up later. He used my bike for a template for the foot and center stand bash plate and he'd be happy to make them for you too.
BTW, the center stand was already rusting after only 3500 miles :huh
What's Ernie charge?
I'll have to look but I think it's a 10
So, this weekend I took the LC up to the Ardennes for some twisted riding. Going out of of a small village I rode through a pothole I didn't see, at 40mph.
Result : a dented cast front wheel . Just big enough so it loses about 100gram of air over 24hours.
Have the wheel at the repair shop right now to straighten it out again. Hopefully this works
We worked out a deal on my parts as they were prototypes. I don't know if he's set pricing for the 2013 parts yet, but he usually much less expensive than the big competition. Send him a PM.
That sucks a whole bunch.
Well I looked - but I guess I don't know where to look to find the size - any idea?
Just got the wheel back. It was bent on both sides ( top and bottom so to speak)
Cost me 45 minute story on how the LC rides , and 50 which is a fair deal
~$75 sounds cheap/fair.
Were you aired down?
I've hit a few potholes in my recent travels and haven't had an issue.
But then I haven't been into anything that requires me to air down...yet.
I bent a V-Strom rim in Baja several years ago and I'm happy to say that it held air with every tire until I sold it.
It lost About 100gram (3 psi?) a day. I sprinkled some liquid soap on the bend part and could see tiny bubbles of air escaping.
Nothing too serious to worry about, but planning on keeping the bike for a couple of years, so I let them fix it
Hi GS riders/owners.
I am new to the GS community as this is my first GS.
I hope that I will have a lot of fun and trips with my new bike.
There are a lot of Touratech and SW-Motech components used on the bike.
Welcome and nice bike.
A Kriega US-10 is approx 12" long and 9" wide. Pics next to a tape measure at
