Division 1A School. Watch out for Frank Solich.
Just kidding, Dave.
Nice tag, Biff. I was guessing Denny or Dox would venture out and snag it.
And I do love Salida.
Just a little payback, Byron for your bridge tag over the Darby a while back. Or was that Shawn. Heck, I don't know.
When I got the tag last night, it was about 11:15 when I arrived. There were kids sitting on the corner "Rocking for Jesus", or some such thing as a fundraiser. And they looked at me like I was strange for being out at that hour just taking pictures.
The really cool thing was as I was rolling down 23, there were a couple spots where I could smell the strong fragrance of pumpkins. The air was kind of thick, and here must have been a couple big fields planted beside the road.
The tag was.....
Next tag..............................we're going to church...
Touted as being the "smallest church in Ohio". That may be the only clue you need but..................
It can be seen from a US route that's numbered for the US currency that bares the likeness of Grant. Between two small towns...one hot...one cool. On a two-digit CR whose first digit is twice as large as the second digit.
PS...................... don't neglect to sign the guest book.
Edit...............the door is always open.
Looks like the little church gets quite a few visiters............
Thought you might swingset that one, dox.
Sure does! I was surprised to see that many names on the guest book after yours. Also, I'm surprised my handwriting is legible at all... I write poorly enough with bare hands, let alone with riding gloves on
I should have gotten the Peden Stadium tag, but had family gatherings happening, then it got dark. I knew exactly where the pic was taken from, as it's about 200 yards from my office, and I almost went sunday night... but the pic wouldn't have turned out in the dark unless the stadium lights were on, and I doubt they were on Sunday night. C'est la vie.
Nice and easy. Google and grab.
The Money Shot
From the other side:
Ha, I rolled by that a couple weeks ago and thought about stopping there and getting that as a file pic. So much for that
Is it just me or are there a lot of blanks on that page?
My thoughts exactly.
I was completely out of file photos, so I had to go grab this one. I need to be more diligent with my file photos so that I can take the pressure off of finding one after rushing to grab a tag.
Yeah, you know there is some great riding to your north!
So you may or may not know Apple is refreshing the iPod lineup today and it is expected that they will be releasing an iPod touch with camera.
The touch already has wifi and there is a Flickr app for posting pictures already so this should get me back into the game.
Real riders post from home.
Well the refresh is out and no camera on the touch but video and FM tuner on the nano (no wifi)
I'll be posting from home..... that is if the tags get a little closer to me
Real riders are out riding, not at home fingering their keyboards.
Wait, I'm fingering my keyboard right now... I guess I fail. :huh (unless it counts that I'm also sitting here watching Sons of Anarchy)
I know, I'm a poser.
Tag! Hanna Covered Bridge located about a mile out Camp Hervida Road off 339 south of Beverly Ohio.
Also location of the first ever Hanna Bridge SEOH Red Cycle Rider's Group meeting. I figured I would trip across Just GO! on this tag but I didn't know exactly where. About .5 miles from the tag we passed on Camp Hervida Rd. Being a gentleman, in so much as I know him, instead of racing home and Brucing me he turned around and followed me back to the Bridge for the handsome picture shown above. Further he agreed to allow me to post the tag.
It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person Denny
Now, on to the next tag...I figure I will continue the recent trend of straight forward no confusion tags with the following:
This one is easy, no hints truly necessary...but be quick, as you only have a day or so to get this tag before they close town down for the event that celebrates the ships you see on the river behind my bike.
In the unlikely event that none of my fellow local ADV'r's are feeling it before town closes down I shall slightly alter the tag or possibly accept alternative angles if one can be found
