The only place we had problems keeping up was going uphill on the very steep grades and
some of the flat open highways we were no match for the big bikes with 3X the engines we had
but we were with a great group that kept us in sight as we kept them from getting speeding ticket's :lol3

    Yeah that's it :evil
we could have gone faster but we didn't want to get caught speeding :poser

Thanks for the comment's and try to make it next year, you won't regret it :thumb

The plan from the beggining was just to go look at it to see if anyone wanted to try it as a ride for the next day or next year
I was first up the Canyon so I just rode up it since we were there anyways

a couple of the big bikes tried :evil

the best comment I heard was
"that looks way too expensive to go up"

we ended up turning around as planned

I'll do it again next time though, it was fun:ricky

Some of the best rides are slow rides, you get to see more of the sights:lol3

I live only about an hour from the campground, I should have no excuse for not making it next year (my wife and kids might disagree with me:rofl )

Forgot to mention that we used Sweet Cheeks for the first time

they made the ride sooo much better What a huge difference
Such a simple and great Idea it's a heavy duty cloth thingy that hold's Two 2-litre soda bottles filled water (or Whatever)
you put it over your seat so one bottle is on each side and it turns your skinny uncomfortable seat into a wider more tolerable seat check them out @ http://cycle-analyst.com/sweetcheeks.htm
probably the best $ spent on the bike so far :thumb

    Sorry about the pictures missing

Photobucket is screwing with me :dunno

They said the pictures will be back to normal April 21st

I'll probably be switching to Smug Mug by then
    SmugMug seems to be better/easier
I Have to do some looking into that ?

    Great report and photos.
Please let me know the next ride as I would love to join you. Even if my Son is not with me physically he always is spiritually. It would be a treat to be amongst you all... with Spirit.
Be well... this is an inspiration for me.

Wow Thank you for the comments about the report,
as for the pictures nicomama and h8chains should get almost all the credit for all the clear pictures
as I was using those cheap ass throw away 27 picture cameras,
some turned out pretty good though (last time I'm doing that)
It would be an absolute pleasure to meet you and Spirit and to ride with both of you
I've been catching glimpses of your works for quite a while and really love your pictures and writing style and perspective
When I figure out the date and more details of our next ride I will PM you (I'm thinking mid May early June ride dates)
although my next ride will be with all of my boys as I also have an 8 and 10 year old that LOVE to ride
They have TTR 90's and are both extremely good at riding them
Actually some of the details for our next ride: It will be in Lucerne Valley Ca. and we will be riding to a canyon full of some Indian Petroglyphs for one day
and probably just do some relaxing trail rides around Cougar Buttes the next day as with almost all of our rides they start Friday afternoon and end mid to late Sunday

here's one of my favorite picture's of all of us on a long ride (long for them 30-40 miles)

    Thanks AirbornDad... Thanks.
I hope it is in June as "I have to" be in Moab till end of May.
Would love to ride with you all and Photograph the whole experience. Mental and Physical. I have a little GoPro to do some videos also, they are fun (only when I have a good connection to upload them!).
We were camping with Nicomama at Overland Expo, another great experience meeting "The Lady".
    Will await your pm...
Be well... take good care of each other.

Way cool? I had to put up with her for 3 days camping next to us... :lol3
All jokes set aside, within my over half of a century Life she must be the coolest, energetic... and more as I run out of words "Lady" ever met. I can proudly say that I call her my "little sister" as she calls me her "older brother".
Friends are family one chooses you know.
    You be well Pat.

Thanks! It is hard to plan the time... The edge I had was we could run a few minutes past the 2 hour mark cuz I had the anchor. She was fun and I hope to have her on again later in the year...
