I, like many of you, enjoy eating in really out of the way places while traveling. Anybody care to post their favorite eateries while riding off the beatin' path?

I partial to The Shed in Edom, Texas http://www.theshedcafe.com. Best home cooking in the state with really great pie!

Where else can I go to get some good food while on the road... or beyond!

Oklahoma: Bad Brad's in Pawhuska. It's also up by the tall grass plains which is some good scenery so I hear. Easy lunch ride from Tulsa.

I have on good authority heard that the prime rib is the only way to go. This is what I got last time.

Arkansas: Oark! Day ride from Tulsa and 23(if it's not shit) and 215 are some great asphalt.

    Oark burger.

Honestly one of the best burgers I have had ever.

Catfish Cabin in Eureka! Also a great day ride, one which I plan on doing in a few weeks when we get a good 75+ degree day going on. Most of the roads around there are pretty kick ass as well. 12/125/Rockhouse road/90 out of MO.

I'm also a sucker for taco shacks in parking lots. Those normally are pretty good.:beer

    Ride to eat destinations eh?

    1. Lunch in Oark for me. I love their chicken fried steaks and hamburgers and of course buttermilk pie! I have had most everything on the menu and have yet to find something I disliked.

    2. Breakfast at the Smokehouse in Eureka Springs. Best damn breakfast anywhere bar none.

    3. Mama Dean's Soul Food in Fayetteville. Yum Yum...best soul food for 500 miles...
